I wish I could find Hardshell's transformation instructions. So tired of trying to piece complete figures together so I can get rid of them.

The way my recliner is positioned in front of the window, the setting sun shines down on it. It hurts my eyes and when I have my laptop on my lap it makes it hard to see the screen. Don't even have curtains for the two windows in my bedroom making it worse.

I'll thrown in my own :2c:

Though it may seem like people get worked up over the smallest things (and sometimes it's just someone's bigoted values being offended) Some people have valid reasons to be triggered.

    Example: Abuse victims.

Victims have things that remind them of their abusers, and that can bring back very bad and traumatizing memories. Even if it's as simple as a brand name or a certian nickname, you have to respect what sets off people sometimes as long as they have a valid reason for it.

People taking liberties and being ungrateful while doing so.

Hm, methinks that overcoming such things would be better than being compliant with them, so that they aren't bothered by them as much, it shows more strength of character.

This is something that works both ways: working past major trauma is a gradual process that varies from person to person in relation to the severity of what went down so it isn't out of line to ask for some empathy on the matter to go hand in hand with some self-awareness of your own limitations and coping mechanisms.

True, it's a gradual process, but I think it should be attempted at some point rather than not, to let it control you like that, to me, is like letting it win, if that makes sense.

I get where you're coming from, I just think it's not unreasonable to show some empathy. Help them when they fall, so that they may learn once again to stand.

No, I get you, I know that, going cold turkey on them or acting like there's nothing wrong would probably do more damage.

    And here are mine.

Without going into too much detail, I was abused as a child/teen, over a very long period (from about the age of 8 until leaving school at 16). I have never been "triggered" by anything I've seen on the internet.

I don't take ANYTHING seriously on the internet. Nothing really bothers me, to be honest. Except maybe animal abuse videos.

If I happen upon something that upsets me, I take responsibility for my own browsing and just shrug it off.

And in the long run, it's better to face your fears than running away. I cannot stand this current generation who make it their job to be perpetually offended.

A quote from Aristotle which I really like, which is somewhat tangentially related : "There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, be nothing".

When customers get mad at me because they didn't read the sale signs correctly and picked up the wrong item. And then continue to look at you with disdain even after you offered to fetch them the right item, so that they could get the deal they were after... If I was trying to pull one over on you then why would I offer to fetch you the right item? Guh!

My issue is that my left hand's the only one that gets trimmed easily. I'm right-handed, so my left hand naturally isn't really good at such tasks, and the feet just aren't easy to reach.

People that get snotty about music. I'm the person who will listen to almost any thing but I still prefer punk, metal, and rock over most other types like rap for example. But then there's these people who get all snotty about listening to a certain type of music and act like listening to said music makes them better.

People who say things like "it's personality that matters" because appearances do matter alot

People that complain about a game's art style and shit on it at every opportunity they get, even though they've never play it.

People that act like something being organic automatically makes it better.

And lastly people who use the triggered outside the context of "...triggered a series of events..."

I woke up this morning and found that about half of my Marvel Legends display was knocked over or on the floor. And this is at a good elevation since they sit on my dresser and I was looking around the room at my Transformers but found they weren't knocked over. Okay so something only affected my Marvel legends. An hour later and I'm sitting in my recliner and I find out the answer. One of the my cats, or maybe both have, learned to to jump up on the dresser and did this! Damn it is nothing off limits to them!
