| Gay for Hot Rod ![]() Join Date: Jun 2010 Posts: 821 | Interesting that the stride length and pattern changes as it gets faster, just like a real running animal. I'm curious why they shaped the legs like they did. Obviously they did whatever they had to do to get it to work, but I'm wondering why the shape and joint structure that works in flesh and bone won't work in metal. I can see this thing being used in warfare to carry bombs into enemy territory. Just send the robo-bunny (cause it looks way more like a rabbit than a cheetah) sprinting across the battle lines with a bomb, wait for it to settle in somewhere important, and BOOM. ![]() Twitter: Grreyley |

It looks like the leg shape is designed to keep the hydraulics simple, its similar to a real animal, provided they don't have feet. I'm most impressed that this thing can run backwards so easily. ![]() |
