If you go to the Youtube link there were some others in the sidebar. This one features Luka. I have to admit, I am impressed by this. In the Miku one, I could only see the screen at the end when it lit up from the lights. Very impressive technology in my opinion, even if the singing isn't my favorite.
I wonder how long will it be till someone in Japan will have a virtual wedding with this technology like that guy did with his Nintendo DS character/girlfriend last year.
Aaaaaaaaaand there's the problem. I like the sound of this no better than I like autotune. - Coeloptera
But the way people act is they think this has never been done before in the history of mankind. They ignore the fact that the Gorillaz have done this so many years before (live concerts with a virtual band).
Gorillaz did this 6 years ago. Look for Gorillaz with Madonna on youtube. They actually show interaction. Interesting none the less. edit: Gorillaz with Madonna:
I enjoyed this more than any of the Vocaloid vids on youtube. Back in the days, there was 2 things that motivated me to go to concerts. I like the music and I go there for ladies. No offense guys but I will not bring a date to a Vocaloid concert and I doubt I will pick up any girls there.
Because if there's one thing we all know, it's that concerts are soley for dating purposes. Not every event requires a girl to be fun. Going by yourself and meeting other people or with friends can be just as fun....
If I wanted to meet dudes that are into anime girls, I'll hang out at a Gamestop or a comic shop. It's cheaper. Vocaloid a niche target consumer and it caters to that.
