The NHL season started tonight with four games. My Panthers are playing this Saturday night against Chicago in Finland.

I did'nt subscribe to Center Ice this time. But maybe later on I will.

Habs beat the Leafs 4-3 in overtime. And the Bruins got pummeled by the Caps 4-1.

The Avs posted a 5-2 win over the Sharks after they hung the #19 banner up in the rafters. I think it was a very fitting result.

I am very ready for the Stars to take the ice Saturday night against the Predators.

Some hockey experts have said this will be another long season for the Panthers who won't make the playoffs again. They did'nt do much during the free agency market.

Their goaltending and defense is decent, but they lack in scoring. They say losing Jay Bouwmeester to Calgary will hurt them.

Florida beat Chicago in a SO today in Finland. I friend of mine called me today and left me a message that the game was being televised on Versus.

I missed it, because I was asleep. But I checked the recap of the game and Chicago had 50 SOG while Florida had 23 SOG. Vokoun had to been on top of the game.

Definitely still a Rangers fan, although their chance of winning the Cup this season is almost nil. They got the money but don't know how to spend it, just like the Mets. Oh well at least I have seen them winning a Cup in my lifetime so if they win more it's just icing on the cake.

Montreal's Andrei Markov is going to be out at least four months. I wonder will that hurt the Habs?

Let's go Flyers. Flyers beat Carolina last night 2-0. Emery was solid. :D

Man, it was really great to see the Blues put up a really awesome effort and beat Detroit. If they can do the same again today I think they will be sending a message to the rest of the Central division.

If only they can stay healthy....

I can't believe the Panthers were shutout against Chicago. What happened to Vokoun?

Good series, even though the Hawks lost the first one. now, onto Detroit.

I know most teams are only two games, at most, into the season, but I like the fact that Detroit is dead last in the division with ZERO points.

It would be nice to see Detroit not be a top team for at least one season. Wouldn't mind seeing the Hawks-Blues rivalry heat back up.

It is hard to believe Vancouver is 0-3. Luongo was pulled in the 2nd period.

I was talking to another Habs fan. He said it is better for Markov to be injured now, instead of Febuary or March when it is close to the playoffs.

Lastnight I was watching the Florida and Carolina game. I was sick to my stomach. I went on the Panthers message board stating that the team sucks.

But right now I am watching the Panthers playing the Devils. First intermission and no score yet, but at least Vokoun is doing alittle better tonight. Brodeur only stopped four shots during the 1st Period. It proves the Panthers have no offense.
