Collection Count: 350++ News Credits: 1 | Now that it's bumped, I am a bit curious how the legalities work as far as the age limit on smoking is concerned. For those that have never smoked (as bumped above) that want to try this, does the ban on sale of TOBACCO to minors also apply to banning the sale of Nicotine juice to minors?
Granted, I'm 24 and don't need to worry about that, but it is kind of a gray area that is probably going to need to be addressed sooner than later.
Likewise, as somebody else has brought up, Marijuana is illegal, but would it be illegal to sell concentrated THC for the E-cig? I'm guessing it would be assumed to be the case, but again, legally Marijuana is the controlled substance on the books, not THC.
Play Urban Dead and they could be behind you too...

Anyways this is fantastic! I really hope this catches on. It can mean wonders for people trying to quit and if it doesn't have that awful smell I can finally sit at a bus stop in peace.
For the smoking/nonsmoking rudeness argument, obviously there are rude people on both sides. They are rude people and smoking has nothing to do with it. Get over it.
The thing is though that it seems most smokers are rude in an unintentional sense. A lot of them really don't seem to realize how much smoke travels and how badly they smell after coming in from their smoke break (enough to fill an entire room with the smell a few seconds after they arrive). I have to stay at a lot of bus stops and smokers often try to be courteous and stand away...unfortunately that smoke travels (particularly in the wind) and gets right in your face. Heck I worked at a job where anyone who smoked would do so at the back door....causing the entire store to smell like cigarettes for the duration and repelling many a customer.
Since they're used to the smoke and generally have a poorer sense of smell, it's hard for smokers to realize how much cigarette smoke really really sucks for non-smokers. It's not just the smell, but the fact that it chokes you and lingers in the air.
I usually try to move when I'm caught in the smoke, but often it's either difficult to find a spot where the smoke isn't going, or I simply am unable to move. Not everyone is rude about smokers, but it doesn't mean they don't wish they were elsewhere.
As an example I feel like sharing, two employees at a bus station go into the partially enclosed bus waiting area I'm sitting at by myself and sit down. They tell me that I should scoot over a few feet to the end of the bench so "the smoke won't get on me". I just stared at them in disbelief before grabbing my stuff and moving. There was nowhere else to sit without getting smoke in my face so I just ended up standing the rest of the time.
Seriously, bus station employees kicking a customer out of a seat so they could smoke. I don't even think they realized they were being rude. *facepalm* |

So my question to you folks: if an e-cig is used without any nicotine, is it harmless, or is there some kind of side-effect?
I'm reading stuff online (links post here), but I suck at research and tend to over-look things, so I thought I'd ask. | I don't think there is anything in the nic-free juice that would be harmful as long as you buy from a reputable source like Johnson Creek Smoke Juice.
They aren't supposed to sell the nicotine juices to people under 18 I think. I don't believe there is an actual law about that though. Can a minor buy nicotine gum? www.vapeAtron.com - A new e-smokers forum, join us today! www.TrionStudios.com - Check it out! |
