Thank you all for your thoughts on this. I will employ those ideas to make sure my sister's cat doesn't get into those house plant.

I didn't say my sister's cat is having a problem. The reason why I am having a problem with it, is I am concerned about the welfare of my sister's cat. These tropical fruit bearing trees are toxic. I want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row to avoid a potential situation that could be disasterous in the long run. I am calm as a cucumber, there is no need to do a line of cocaine.
Cheers,

Robert

Seriously. After a good line of coke, you won't give a shit about your sister's cat. Problem solved!

Get some 100% natural citrus spray. Not room freshener that smells like citrus, but the 100% real stuff. Cats HATE that smell and you can spray it around and on things you want the cat to avoid without killing the plant. After a while it will learn to avoid them without the smell. You can also cut some fresh lemon and lay them inside the plant's pot. It also smells good so it's win/win.

Or sprinkle grated lemon rind or orange rind in the pot.

They have shock collars that are activated by "satellites" you leave around the home. The animal only gets shocked if it gets within a certain distance of one of these satellites. They're made for dogs, but their are versions for dogs under 15 lbs...perfect for a cat! And if it turns out to be too much juice you could always sell the resulting fried feline to your local Chinese food joint. You really can't lose.

Or have the cat do a line. Either way it works out for the best.
