There were questionable calls on both teams ( i'm a born and bred, live and die black and gold Steelers fan, and I think Harrison should've been ejected for that s**t he pulled), that's just the way the game goes. I don't think it would've been as close as it was if the Steelers had remembered how to TACKLE SOMEONE for most of the second half.
Anyway, I give massive respect to the Cards for keeping it close after being down 13 points. They played a phenomenal game, and I'm sure this isn't the last time we'll see them in the Super Bowl.
One Team.

One Nation... Congratulations to the 2008 World Champion PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!!!!!!

They could have called Gandy for holding all night long but didn't. Pittsburgh dominated for the 1st three quarters and should have won easily.
For some reason they played their safeties 20 yards deep in the Cover 2 during the 4th quarter and practically begged Arizona to make some plays over the middle of the field.......which they did. The Cards just didn't make the plays when it mattered on defense. Period. Where was the coverage on Santonio Holmes during that last drive? Anybody? |

The game was won fairly and in good fashion.
I'll probably watch the Pro Bowl, then its off waiting for next year! Quote:

Anybody? | Outside of one play Arizona COMPLETELY dominated the 2nd quarter. The third quarter was pretty even, and Arizona dominated most of the 4th quarter. Arizona outgained Pit. by over 100 yards. If not for that one play to end the half, Arizona probably wins by double digits.
The officiating was horrible. Just at the end of the game Arizona should have had 30 more yards on their final drive and one more play (that was an imcomplete pass, should have been a penalty on holmes on his celebration, and then the penalty from taking the helmets off). And with that last play it's not really the officials on the field that were horrible as you can see why they might think it was a fumble, but the guys in the booth not even calling for a review in the Superbowl at that moment is just...well, people should be fired for that.

The problem with calling a lot of frivolous penalties is that when real penalties occur they usually tend to let them go...or they go unnoticed. Its a shame really. BUT to say the Steelers were handed the game is ridiculous. How do we know Arizona would have taken advantage of the extra penalties? We don't...and we never will.
