I have a second degree black-belt in TaeKwonDo.

I left that to study more practical Martial Arts such as:

Savate (French Kickboxing)
Jeet Kune Do
Knife & Stick Fighting
Grappling
Muay Thai

I would say the disciplines listed above are ALOT more practical and extremely intense for conditioning compared to traditional forms of Martial Arts such as Karate.

I don't think any 1 Martial Art is better than another, but combining styles (Mixed Martial Arts) is the way to go, to becoming a better fighter. You got to take what works for you and comes naturally.

I did Tae Kwon Do for awhile. I wasn't a fan of it, nor the fact I had to pay money to advance.

This.

I'm an exponent of shaolin - Wu Chu Chuen, to be exact. No expert, though.

There may be no peace for the wicked, but the righteous can damn well get a piece whenever they feel like it.

Nope, that was another thing I was going to try. Seems very much on the level of judo, with submissions thrown in. I think in competition they just wear the Gi top, which makes it look like two dudes wrestling in a shrunken bath robe.
I saw a Boxing commercial and it said "It's a fight to the finish" Thats a good place to end.

I´m trying to contact the portugese federation. Hopefully they will tell me were I can train it. I always liked to try MMA and I have some Judo background, and got even more curious after seing a documentary. They have pretty mean submissions there.
