Are there smaller kickboxing venues in your area?
I saw a Boxing commercial and it said "It's a fight to the finish" Thats a good place to end.

Then I did Wadu Ryu Karate for a few years with the womens UK no. one (former world champion!) as my sensei. Trained with England squad members and everything. They would have kicked my ass though.
Then I did Muay Thai for a few months, dabbled in Goju Ryu and Wing Chun for a bit.
Then in around 2000 I did Shaolin Gong Fu up until quite recently. Super double hard bastard classes. Awesome though. But now I've moved house I need to find something else.
Since the Shotokan I've been using Nunchuku, learning different bits from different teachers, and no books can teach me anyhting new about them, its all practice I guess.
I've been doing martial arts for around 15 years now, and I'm decent, but really I should be fitter than I am. Its more a hobby with me, I have a friend to who Martial Arts are a way of life, and she's nuts.

If there is a boxing gym in your area it will kick your butt. It should definatley round out your kicking skills.

Not really. Need to start looking around if I really want to start taking my training seriously. |

Its a lot of strike pressure and movement not just standing there and doing the vulcan death grip. When I first started training I didn't think it would work but the first time I made a man piss himself with a well place brachial stun it changed my mind. |
