I agree....Texas has 7 different climates. I am native to Texas (born and raised). I was in the SE portion near Houston and there I got hit with 5 hurricanes, in which 1 of them, I actually slept through it (Hurricane Alicia in 1983). Hopefully everyone is safe from the hurricane.

I lived in West Houston when I was younger. Not a bad place, but I wouldn't go back. I never made it to Austin, but I'd love to check it out sometime, I hear they have an excellent party scene.
