Did you leave it out anywhere it would have gotten either really hot, really cold, or wet?
If the answer to any of the above is yes, thats most likely the problem.
Friend of mine left his video iPod in his car overnight, very cold night, sucka wouldnt turn on for about 2 days. (2 days being exposed to higher than room temperature that is)
You could always try emailing Apple, that might help?
Oh, yeah, it might also have 0% battery left. Did it need an initial long charge period, and did you allow it to charge for the amount of time needed? Plz click so this thing doesnt starve | |

I left it at the computer table for a couple of hours. It is unlikely it has 0% battery left because it was half full when I left it (iPod Nano battery lasts about 2 days). If it was empty would you have an idea as to how long it would take to charge?

I left it charging for 2 days straight
turned on like a charm.
