Collection Count: nowhere near enough... | Japanese Horror Recently I've been getting a real itch for some good Japanese Horror and was hoping to get some suggestions on here. But first, I want to make a few things clear...
I am well aware of movies such as the following, so don't mention them...
1. Ringu (I own it in fact)
2. Ju-On (Borrowing it from my roommate)
3. Uzumaki (own it)
4. Dark Water
5. Pulse
6. One Missed Call (want to see the original before the remake)
7. Tale of Two Sisters (borrowing it from my roommate)
8. Reincarnation (borrowing it from my roommate)
I am looking for HORROR, and by that I mean real horror, not overly violent movies such as the following, this includes anything by Miike, Yes he is great, but I want HORROR not uber violent action/drama movies...
1. Ichi the Killer (seen it...wish I hadn't)
2. Oldboy
3. Audition
4. Battle Royale (I own it, I love it)
Any other suggestions are more than welcome, thanks a bunch ^^ |

BTW would that be based on the anime? I've abandoned anime some time ago but I do remember a manga by that name. |

Speaking of Oldboy, the other two parts of the revenge trilogy are Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance and Lady Vengeance (U.S. title). |

Since you have Battle royale up there.. i'd like to recommend NOT watching battle royale 2...
there was another horror movie i watched.. i think dolls (dolls eyes?).. or something.. that sucked too.. and another .. i think 7 horror stories.. or 7 ghostly tales.. i can't remember.. but if anyone can help out.. that would be great.. that one sucked too.
Sadly.. besides what the OP posted.. i haven't seen a good jpn horror film since Battle Royale and Ringu.. love those two films

And I don't consider BR to be a horror flick. More action than horror. Quote: |
