i blame 'interview with a vampire', once that hit with pitt and cruise it was all downhill....

I wondered whether it'd be any good. I liked the previews, especially the "Oh God." "No god." lines in the trailer. Maybe I'll add it to my rental list.

Well, they certainly didn't help matters, but I think it was Gary Oldman's turn as Vlad that really planted the seed. Even though I think Oldman's a great actor. At least with that movie, they showed Drac as a fossil first, then young later.

So it's not 150% better than Dracula 2000?

Trailers do look good. The vampires look nice and freaky. And yes monsterous, blood thirsty vampires>emo vampire any day.

I thought Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins were the only two redeeming aspects of that disaster of a film.

Besides, he's not foppish, he's just stylishly dressed for that time in history.

Is there really a 3000, or was that a Dracula 2000-typo?

I LOVED Dracula 2000. Honestly thought it was a great film, with a very original twist on the vampire mythos.
Feedback here! Criminals are HOT.

Yes, unfortunately there was a Dracula 3000. It may have been MFTV, but it still counts. See here.

I actually liked Dracula 2K, but 3K was shite. Would have been better if they had mixed "Mr. 3000" and Dracula for Dracula 3K. Then we could have had him play midnight baseball.
