There's a mouse in my piano

Well, there's a mouse in my piano. It's beginning to be destructive.

Can anyone think of a way to get the mouse OUT of the piano without harming the piano? Killing the mouse is an acceptible option but only if it is not stuck somewhere that it cannot be accessed.

I can provide any and all necessary information about the piano and/or methods used as of now.

PIANO:
Made by LESTER in Philadelphia, PA.
Probably 80+ years old
NOT a grand piano

DAMAGE DONE:
Some kind of elastic from inside the piano was chewed. No food has been harmed yet.

METHODS USED:
My dad set up a lone mouse trap near the nest. I do not know if it is working or not because I think I heard it go off, but my dad says different.

RULES FOR PRACTICAL IDEAS:
I have 2 dogs that are often in the same room as the piano. Poisons are out of the question at this point.
The piano cannot be harmed more than what the mouse is capable of
Thanks to someone named Lyle, I have a broom at my disposal. (Lyle put his name on the broom... I think he left it here if/when he worked on our pool)

The mouse has not "played" the piano in just over a day. I am not entirely sure it is still in the piano.

Thanks for the help
SB
-is asking because his dad won't do anything about this and he doesn't really want mice in his house

My advice would be to leave the mouse alone and just hide any trace of his existence. Doing so would have a positive, two-pronged effect. For the first you would need to get some recording equipment and just set it up near the piano, if the mouse happens to produce some amazing piece of music you can have it recorded and sell it.

The second effect comes into play whenever you have guests over. The mouse starts playing the piano and you freak out and start yelling "NO! NOOOO! IT'S BACK! THE GHOST IS BAAAAAACK!!!"

WTF is a mouse doing living inside the piano? There's no food in there.

Here's my idea - set up a perimeter around the piano that is made of cardboard or something. This purpose of this will be to keep the dogs away from the delicious mousetraps that are set with cheese all around the piano - no poisons.

Wait one night.

If there's a mouse in there, it will be dead in a trap the next morning. If there is no dead mouse, he must have moved into your fridge.

I also take requests, always looking for new ideas
