Hi everyone! I just sorta joined, so I'm not entirely sure how to use my account properly, so I'll probably be asking a lot of questions!

Hope I don't annoy anyone too much :)

    Hello.

I'm Super Lazuli, there's supposed to be an umlaut over that A (it is a long A) but the thing wouldn't let me do it, so oh well.

Anyway, yeah, hi. New-ish fan here, I watched Armada and whatnot when I was younger but only really recently got *into* TF by way of the new Aligned Continuity stuff (that'd be Prime, War For Cybertron, and Fall of Cybertron, but you all probably knew that already), and I like what I've read of the IDW comics, too. I've also watched some old G1 stuff, it's pretty good, if dated.

Anyway, I write (terrible) stuff and make (terrible) music, but that's neither here nor there. That's about all I can think of, anything else you wanna know, just ask.

    So yep, hi.

[EDIT]: Oh, I'm also known as Doom Hippo on Xbox Live, you may recently have seen me failing at Fall of Cybertron on there.

    Hello All,

My name is Jared, and I have no idea what I am about to get myself into.

I am 28, and currently am a sponsored driver for Monster Energy Drink. I am self employed, and when I am not traveling around doing events I work at my office in Dallas doing graphic design, marketing and car events.

I will be honest: I am very new to Transformers world and I have a idea I am about to spend a LOT of money. Everything I do has to be 110%, so it burns me up to see that I am so far behind so many with collection. I don't like to be behind anyone at anything. So, I suppose I am about to go down this road.

So far, my collection is super, super small. Don't make fun...

    -20th Anniversary Edition Optimus Prime
    -Hasbro Masterpiece Thundercracker (2)
    -G1 Grappler
    -G1 Inferno
    -G1 Jetfire
    -DOTM Bumblebee Mech Tech
    -DOTM Jolt Mech Tech
    -Ultimate Battle Optimus Prime
    -Ultimate Battle Magatron

It's a small, humble collection, but after finally getting Jetfire... and finding a local shop in Dallas called "Dallas Vintage Toys" I think I am about to dive in...

In fact, I got the party started just last week by buying this NIXON Display Case. I bought it because it matches the Jetfire Color Scheme and would look sweet in my office. I realize now, this will not hold any sort of massive collection, but perhaps I will just be a casual collector. I put some junk in it just for the photo, the plan is to fill it with transformers...

My other hobby, my car. This keeps me busy.

This picture is a little old. The facebook fans is up to around 380,000 now. :)

My truck. I also mess with high speed go karts a lot..

Planning to be an active member here as I go down this road. Any advice you guys will give is appreciated. Thanks again. :)

Definitely love the setup you've got there, and I'm sure you (and Grapple hah) will get into the swing of things sooner than later.

Your collection count is eight? Hahaha!
J/K. Seriously, it's taken me two years to get to the eleven I have now. You're doing just fine. Welcome to ze boards!

Since you're into graphic design, how about a makeover?

    Thanks for the quick welcome...

Yeah, having made friends with the guys at Dallas Vintage Toys... I think I will. I already tried to buy the nice TF Toy Guide... but it is out of print and costs like $75... haha... that's a lot of change for a book that has outdated pricing! I just wanted the photo guide...

Some of us are very happy with small collections, ya know. Plenty of completists of you want to go that way, too. As well as everything in between. I don't think anyone here judges on the size of the collection, it's what you do with it that counts.

If you know what I mean.

Elaborate! Please, I am new to this and want to learn everything that I can..

I guess like... where does it end? Ya know? There are so many different lines... generations... versions... japan versions... etc. It's nuts. You could spend $20,000 and still be missing a lot... lol...

I suppose I will first try to get the G1 collection. I don't really care about "mint in the box" or not. I also really like the MASTERPIECE collection, but of course, I was shocked to see that the "USA Releases" of the Masterpiece's are far less than the Japanese versions...

    My head is already spinning.

    Mostly I like the:

    1. Nicer/Larger/Super Detailed Collectible Versions (Masterpiece, etc)
    2. Classic G1 Transformers.

But I have a feeling I will begin to like them all. Gonna have to make more shelves, I can feel it.

Glad to see you guys dont "give a crap" about the size of collections. I saw some threads were people had like entire ROOMS full of stuff. My wife would never allow such craziness in our house. I am going to have to be a little more subtle about it...
