Hello There.

Just thought I'd intro myself; I was introduced to Transformers via Beast Wars and the '86 movie, been part of the fandom ever since. I bought my first tf (ROTF Breakaway) back in 2009. I am a resident of Cape Town, South Africa, and finding transformers robots has become incredible scarce here.
If it's cool, I'd like to ask if there are any other South African peps here and also what my fellow internationals experience has been like buying robots online.

Recently decided to start picking up Transformers after years of one-off toy purchases and no longer owning any of those purchases along with being overall impressed by the post Fall of Cybertron Generations offerings and the current and upcoming Combiner Wars offerings.

Joined a few weeks ago but just can't seem to find this thread on my mobile. Been lurking here for some months after trying to find anything interesting in the Transformers after TF: Prime and other TF cartoon series which was when I found out about the current comic lines. I'm more of a media consumer than a toy collector (but ah I've been tempted lately but fortunately/unfortunately my current budget could not cope with another hobby). Mostly lurked in the Comics section for the interesting debates about the current TF comics before deciding to join.
Hope to pitch in some interesting things in the discussion here.

My name is Jeen and I've signed up here to increase my "healthy" daily doses of Transformer-y goodness.

I used to watch a lot of Robots in Disguise and a bit of Armada as a kid. Only recently got into very casually collecting some robo-fellows here and there as I go along. Loving the current comics, as well.

I hope we'll all have a good time and deluxe class for life.


P.S.: Is there any way to change the page width? Stretching the full 1920 pixels is a bit too much for me.

I found TFW2005 mainly because it's so very popular.. so.. i had to join as i have just started collecting Transformers two months ago & also watching the G1 Cartoon on dvd all teh time!

Greetings all. I've been debating on whether or not to join TF forum but decided what the heck. I've been a Transformers fan since day 1 back in 1984. I hope I can find the time to get to know lots of people here. I'm a stay at home dad so a lot of my time is focused on my 2 (very soon to be 3) year old daughter. Fortunately I have an awesome wife that got me a MacBook this year so I'm able to get online while my daughter plays and watches her movies.  

 

Hi all! I'm GamerZack87, or you can call me Zack if you like. I'm a long-time lurker of the Combiner Wars Appreciation Thread, and I finally decided to join this awesome community. I've been a fan of Transformers for over 20 years, making my start during G2 at the tender age range of 5-7. I'm a huge fan of the G1-verse, and Beast Wars is what really kicked my interest into overdrive - both the toys and the television series are absolutely fantastic!

In terms of G1 characters, my favourite Autobots are Bumblebee, Ultra Magnus, Grimlock, Superion and Defensor; my favourite Decepticons are Starscream, Soundwave, Bombshell, Bruticus and Menasor; my favourite Maximals are Rhinox, Cheetor, Rattrap, Dinobot and Tigatron; and my favourite Predacons are Waspinator, Terrorsaur, Tarantulas, Wolfang (the Japanese Telemocha variant) and Blackarachnia.

I'm a big fan of combiners, with my favourite teams being the Aerialbots, Stunticons, Protectobots and Combaticons. My first combiner component was G2 Swindle, but I never managed to get the rest of the Combaticons; I'm hoping the rumours of Combiner Wars Bruticus prove true so that I can finally get the complete team.

Now for the non-Transformers-related stuff about me. I'm 27 years old, roughly 6' 5" (almost 2m) tall, and my eyebrow colour is different to my hair. I'm a gamer at heart, and I play both digital and tabletop; my favourite consoles are Nintendo and PlayStation, and I enjoy Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons. I have an interest in studying game design, and I'm looking to go to university next year so I can make it into a career. I'm the author of a network of series currently known as Chromaicora Adventures, which are set in my various D&D settings, and the flagship series Crystals of Silveria has proven popular.

Hello all!

I've been lurking on these boards for some time, and decided to come out of hiding.

I've been a fan of Transformers since the G1 days, and have done on-again/off-again collecting of the toys. I had a few late G1 figures as a child that were later lost, got most of the G2 toys when they came out several years later but then sold most of them off at a garage sale. I got pulled back into collecting when I showed the G1 cartoon to my niece - she was hooked instantly and for several years we built up a small army of generations/g1/and g2 toys we used when playing together.

I really love the 86 movie and growing up the Season 3 main cast were some of my favorite characters, and I think the 2-part "Return of Optimus Prime" was one of the best Transformers stories ever told!

I'm really enjoying the combiner wars figures so far, though I haven't been reading the comics, and I absolutely love the Masterpiece line!

Outside of Transformers, I also collect modern era GI Joe figures, like classic cars, and I'm a bit of a World War II/Military history buff.

So, here's to posting more on the forums in the future!

I'm new to the forums. I have an Hasbro MP Prime with 2 right biceps, which hinder proper transformation into alt mode. Anyone end up with 2 lefts and looking for a parts swap? Or anyone have spare parts? Thanks fellas

I don't really collect much, since I'm more into the fiction. I have some stupid ideas for my own Transformers series, and I hope to become an animator sometime in the future.

Newbie from the UK here  

Got into Transformers way back as a small child in the 80's, Had loads.. and then my mum decided the neighbours kid would appreciate them more when we moved..

My final sight of my G1 Scorponok as we drove off was the little **** next door beating him with a table leg..

Fast forward to 2003 when I bought myself the Takara Masterpiece MP-01 Optimus Prime (Convoy)..

Fast forward to now, I recently decided to let the younger me who's always on my shoulder whenever I walk past the toy aisle shouting "just a look, Go on" space to breathe and have restarted buying Transformers figures again.
