I still don't see what makes this any better than regular electrolysis. Anybody with a 9 volt battery can create flammable oxygen and hydrogen - does this just split the molecules faster?

electrolysis requires processed liquids. this uses a natural resource that is abundant and easily available.

EDIT: I see what you mean, sea water isn't good for commercial electrolysis.
