He is 43 and runs a farm close to where we live. He dropped the AC off while I was at work. He carried it up and hooked it up for my mom in her room. She said he was such a nice man. She made a pot of coffee and they sat and talked for 3 hours. He lost his mother to cancer when he was young. And he donates money to The James here in columbus (cancer research center). My mom said they both cried and prayed. They exchanged numbers as he wants an update when she's done with chemo. When I got home last nite I walked in and she grabbed me and hugged me. See we had bet trying for 2 weeks to get her one from the local cancer charities. We were having no luck. So as a last ditch effort I posted that on Craigs List. By yesterday morning I had just over 30 replies. All with good advice. Then there is Bud. The man that cared enough to help a sick woman. I owe this man allot. It makes me feel that no matter what happens, no matter how you feel, no matter your situation, all you need is hope. There is kindness in this world. People do care. This is proof.
Oh, and the AC was BRAND new in the box. He had it, he says, as a backup to his central air. Its now perfect in here.
