Oh hell, I hadn't even considered this possibility...

I had to replace both my desktop and my laptop this summer, both run Vista. It is driving me slightly INSANE.

I may just try the clean sweep/reinstall XP thing

I haven't heard a 100% positive Vista story yet. I'll be holding out as long as I can avoiding this Vista train. It's gonna be me in a bunker huddled with my "slow" computers, a few copies of XP and Ubuntu while the Vistalites are taking over the earth.
