#31 | | Old School Join Date: Jul 2002 Posts: 996 Location: Greensboro, North Carolina Collection Count: G1, Alternators, Classics | I spent the day in my backyard but my back yard happens to be the sight of the largest land battle of the Revolutionary War-The Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Technally it was a British victory since the Americans left the field of battle, but Cornwalis' troops suffered staggering loses and many claim that the battle is what led to the British surrender at Yorktown..

Commander of the Southern Armies General Nathaneil Greene (for whom my town of Greensboro is named after) 
Monument for Peter Francisco of the Continenntal Army, who slew 11 British soldiers at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. 
Hill where the Maryland Calvary charged down and where cutting the Royal Guards up so badly that Cornwalis ordered the British artillery to fire it the fight to halt the charge even though it meant killing some of his own troops...
