WHOAH!

This is shaping up-nicely.

Glad to see the angerof being left behind was shown, and the Doctor being disgusted at the very idea of Cap'n Jack.
The master is one sinister sum-bitch.

Was this part 1 of the final 2-parter finale?

Nope, there's 2 more episodes to go..The Sound of Drums and Last of the Time Lords. Last of the Time Lords airs on the 30th of June I believe.

Okay, anyone else want to admit to cheering when the old guy said "I am... the Master!"?

I know I did, I knew this was coming but damn that was awesome. Not completely sold on John Simm as the Master, yet. Seems a bit too energetic and "hyper" compared to what I'm used to, but I've got less than five minutes of him to go on.

I'll see how well he goes next week. He certainly looks the part, though.

I also hope he survives the finale and returns in future. The Master is too good an enemy to only use once, especially since he is the Moriarty to the Doctor's Sherlock Holmes.

To be fair, if you'd been trapped in a watch for a hell of a long time, you'd have a lot of energy too.
Also, Tennant's doctor was the same right after regeneration, until he sort of passed-out for a while.

Even though I knew what was coming, they were all rumours. I was a bit perturbed as to the rumours that were surrounding the episode, but they were done well. very well set up.
OK, yeh, it was awesome
2 more eps to go

Whoa... that was one ride.

I wasn't sure if the reports I had read were true in that The Master would return and the Professor would regenerate into him in this episode, but when he mentioned the sound of drums (the title of next weeks episode) and when he kinda zoned out it was pretty clear where this was heading, and I have to say it was brilliant, although the zoning out on it's own had me thinking that he was trying to hold of some kind of change into whatever was outside.

Never really did find out about Utopia (maybe next week) and the Doctors distaste of Captain Jack was handled well.

When the Professor was about to open the watch I was sure I heard a bit of the old Master's laugh, and I liked how Martha recognised the new voice which means she'll point them in the right direction of where to catch up with him.

Though The Master stealing The Doctors TARDIS was excellent and then going and ending on a cliffhanger...

Defiantly one of the better episodes, lets hope the next two can keep it up.
