Ok, first off, the back story (I'll make it short): year ago, met an amazing girl, fell head over heels for her, got some action out of it, we ended up as "just friends" even though we both know we both have feelings for each other. Sucked, whatever, stayed friends with her.
Bite me naysayers, that's the kind of person I am.
And you know what? It was SO fucking worth it. Said girl does a lot of things, works with kids, stand up comedy, and she sings.
So, tonight I went to see her sing to support my friend. So, the organizer of the event is a friggin Nazi when it comes to seating. There are about 12 performers and people to see all of them... well, anyway, I get seated at a small table, wish my friend good luck and she goes off to change into her dress. I order a beer and down it fast (I was thirsty) and I order a second. A few minutes later, Seat Nazi sits a girl at my table... a smoking hot girl. I, of course, am pleased. So, my friend does her song, and I start talking with Hottie Hot Hottie, we're laughing having a good time...
Then Seat Nazi rears her ugly head and tells Hottie she can't perform because she didn't sell any tickets. Well, I step up and tell Seat Nazi that I'm buying a ticket, so she can still go on stage, right? Nazi takes my money and tells Hottie to go take a seat in the bull pen and wait. She's #6 on line. She thanks me about 10 times or so, and takes a seat. She sings... and oh MAN can that girl sing. She finishes and she sits back down at the table, next to me this time (she was across the table from me at first) and we exchange numbers.
So... I'm so friggin happy! If any of you know me well enough, you'd know I so need a girlfriend... and while I'm hopeful, I'm NOT going to rush ANYTHING with this girl.
Now you know why I'm saying I love women... but why beer? Without beer, I wouldn't have been loose enough to talk to the girl in the first place... and now I have a hot girl's number!!!
No, you can't have it.
Now, a question: how long should I wait before calling Hottie Hot Hottie?

"Yeah, you go nuts with that."

I never understood the '2 day rule', just call when it feels right. If it feels right tomorrow, do it.
