A walk in the park...

Well, arboretum actually.

I live in the countryside and theres this National Trust Arboretum just up the road, last time I actually went was many years ago and although i've kept meaning to go, I just never got round to it. Untill today, when my Mum asked if i fancied a walk around the place as it's such lovely weather, and I leapt at the chance of avoiding doing more revision and so went along.

It's round about bluebelle season at the moment and the place was simply carpeted with them. Thankfully as it's a monday there was hardly anyone around so it was a really pleasant and tranquil walk. Below are a few shots I took - yes i realise that they are a little shoddy, it was a camera phone, but I think a few came out nicely. Hope you guys enjoy! Anyone else been out taking in mother nature?

...

Thanks to Draven for the kickass sig!...

Nope. It's tax season...I'm lucky to go outside and see the sun. Glad you had a great time. Nice pics! I love that part of the world.

Somebody I know went to the countryside once, he came back with crazy stories of there not being any Post Offices and that the pasties didn't come in plastic wrappers.

He didn't see any minstrels, he was about 500 years too late for musicians and about 50 or so for the other kind.

Unfortunately, pouring rain and icy cold temps all weekend kinda dashed any hopes of communing with nature this weekend.

That and my "communing with nature" usually translates to "mowing my yard and trimming my hedges".

Beautiful park. I would love to take a stroll in the many parks here, but no transportation. We have some beautiful landscape here. Lakes, limestone foundations, and plenty of trees.
