The way things are going in the HIV/AIDS field right now, I'll be extremely surprised if there's any effective vaccine or cure for HIV within the next 50 years.

Choosing to host a cervical carcinoma causing HPV would be my choice. No cervix = no cervical carcinoma. Then again, no studies have been done to prove that HPV's can't cause tumors in males.

Maybe I'm just being too technical but there are over 100 different known genotypes of the human papillomavirus and only a handful of them can cause genital warts(about 15 found) or cervical carcinoma(15 found). Of these 30 genotypes, 70% of cervical carcinoma are caused by just two types (16 and 18) and 90% of genital warts are caused by two other types (6 and 11). HPV's are also responsible for common warts and planter warts which are very common, basically harmless, not transmitted by sex, and easy to treat. These types of warts can be spread just by indirect contact with shed skin cells. Hell, even I used to have a planter wart. Just a bit of liquid nitrogen and the bugger is history. All this info was taken from the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology, 108 (3), Part 1: 699-705. and the book Microterrors by Professor Tony Hart (MBBS, BSc, PhD, FRCPHC, FRCPath)
