Just as functional, better eye candy, better organized, and best of all FREE! Of course I don't play games so I don't need DX10, if I did I guess I would be forced to switch.
Thanks to Cobalt Agent for the awesome sig! Quote:

I wonder how long it will take for Vista to crash? My Feedback |

I will be switching to Vista, though I need to do some upgrading first so it won't be till the later half of the year. Quote: Chaos was the law of nature; order was the dream of man.

Nice perks though. |

Ran into a guy from Apple, a technical team lead of some sort. By itself this wasn't notable, since Apple does its own fair amount of development both for Windows (iTunes, QuickTime) and on Windows (they use Visual Studio, not Xcode, for a lot of stuff because Xcode just blows that much). What was notable was that the Apple guy was carrying around an iPhone.
Andy: Is that final hardware?
Apple Guy: Yes, this is what's coming out in a few months.
He tested it out for a while, and managed to crash it four times in ordinary tasks. It also had an odd habit of continuing to scroll even after he removed his finger from the touch screen. After ten minutes or so, he was hit with a low battery warning, whereupon the Apple guy revealed that he'd only been using it for about an hour that day, after charging it overnight.
Andy: Do you think that's impressive?
Apple Guy: Not at all.
At that moment Andy revealed that he was from Microsoft, and the two went out to lunch for a couple of hours. |
