Most microsoft professionals are certified in whatever the 'industry standards' are. They don't 'love' microsoft any more than they love Cisco or Novell. THey just have to know the products to have a job.

I was a CNA/CNE long Before Microsoft, and Novell began sucking multiple dicks in the industry. There was no way I could continue to carry Novell's water for them just because I was certified, so Had to learn MS.

So saying people who are 'certified' are coolaid drinkers is hardly fair.

The network will feature content from Hasbro's rich portfolio of entertainment and educational properties, and content from Discovery's extensive library of award-winning children's educational programming, as well as programming from third-party producers.

There will be no "Transformers: Buckets of Blood".

I was kidding. Oddly enough, most of the "coolade drinkers" I know aren't certified at all.

I work in higher ed where most of the people in IT are highly educated and know there stuff from the get go. As a result, there really is no demand for anyone to get certified. Maybe this is a good thing as most of the certified people I know are too busy maintaining and/or getting certified in something new to actually put their skills to use.

Cool, sounds like a lot of perks.

You could not pay me money to upgrade to a new OS on launch day though. I will be waiting several months before upgrading just to make sure.

I want Vista badly. But first I need to do some PC upgrades, and especially upgrade to a DX10 card.

My computer needs some RAM and has some hardware issues to be resolved before upgrading. I can wait.

Can't wait till people start calling in to work, wanting us to help them get an internet connection on Vista. Supposedly, its a little different than XP

Nice bonuses. I'll probably end up with Vista when I get a new PC. This one is due for a nice long rest..

I like my XP, thank you.

The NYC launch event sounds outstanding...if you were invited.

Agreed! I'll be sitting around on XP for at least another 6 months I'd say.

I've been running RC1 for about three months, it's definitely 'pretty' but i'm not so sure about anything else.
