With the holidays approaching, I was wondering what people feel about giving and receiving used gifts. Sometimes people want to buy things for someone that are just too expensive to buy normally, so they will give used items so that they can gift bigger/better/more expensive items. Things to think about are refurbished, reconditioned, used but in the original box, a great deal on something used but in good shape. Things I have in mind are electronics, video games, appliances. I am not including things like collectables or clothes.
So, what thoughts do people have as the giver and receiver of used gifts?  |

aksmth gave me this title! Join Date: Sep 2004 Posts: 4,775 Location: NYC | I don't mind getting used stuff but I would feel guilty giving something used unless I know for certain the receiver doesn't mind.  So you want to see how good you are? Then you must be tired of living!
