*edit nevermind* Need help with Outlook 2003

Nevermind

I have a really annoying problem in Outlook. My view on the middle pane has changed suddenly, and I have spent forever trying to get it back to default, but to no avail. Could someone help me?

This is the default style when you first instll, and what I'm trying to get back to. Notice how items in the inbox in the center pane display the name of the sender along with the subject.
The way it SHOULD look

Now, here is the way mine has suddenly become.
The way it is now (yuck)
Notice how I circled that bar at the top of the inbox. I cannot get that to go away, and it is not in the default settings. Also, the inbox items in the center pane are very thin, showing only one line of text instead of the rich way of the first pic.

Does anybody have any clue as how to get it back to the way it was? Pretty please?

From the Outlook menu:

Views --> Arrange By --> Current View --> Customize Current View

Click "Other Settings" tab

Click the box at the bottom of that window that says "Use Multi-Line Layout ..." and ensure the "Always use Multi-Line Layout" option is checked.

Sometimes I think that writing help docs must be the most thankless task at Microsoft. They put so much effort into creating massive amounts of understandable and well-organized text with the full knowledge that billions of needy users will never look at it.

Actually, it was simpler than that. And yes, I have too much pride to say what it was.
