Originally, Mortal Kombat was supposed to be a game based on Jean-Claude Van Damme. When they were unable to get his likeness, they had their character Johnny Cage be based on him. Furthermore, he was also a candidate for the original Predator film, but that didn't go through either.

Ergo, Mortal Kombat X is the closest the world has come to letting Jean-Claude Van Damme fight the Predator.

It's also the one game where Carl Weathers gets to powerbomb the Predator.

Jean Claude Van Dame Was the original Predator in the original suit. When the studio saw how bad the costume was, filming was put on hold, a larger costume made, and Van Dam was too small to wear the new suit.

Genetically speaking, Chimps have diverged MORE from our (human and chimp) common ancestor than we have. So technically speaking, we are more primitive than Chimps are.

We are the only ape who can have blue eyes.

Depends on how you define "primitive". Evolution is not a hierarchy, it is a tree branch going off into different directions.

Are we talking LUCA? ( last Universal Common Ancestor ) or just within the primate tree?

Apparently, Jason Todd liked guns even before he became the Red Hood.

Granted, I don't know much about Jason's history so if this was old news then excuse my lack of general DC knowledge.

"Primitive" as in "closer to the ancestral type". A species can be both primitive and derived, take us for example. We are "primitive" becuase we still posses the orignal tetrapod arrangement of five fingers, but "derived" because we have a divergent thumb, which is not an ancestral feature. All species are equals in terms of evolutionary progression, these terms simply are used when referring to how much, or how little, a species has changed in comparison to previous (ancestral) types. I hope this make sense. :)

I'm talking the HCLCA (Human Chimp Last Common Ancestor).

Hospitals are rated by the number of deaths that took place there, less deaths means a higher rating. They will actually move a patent who is close to death to another hospital to help their rating. I didn't know this until last year, kinda morbid huh?

Anglerfish has amongst the most extreme cases of sexual dimorphism in the animal kingdom. The female represents the classic anglerfish we all know and love, the creepy fish with the glowing lure and the horrendous fangs, but the males are in fact teeny tiny little parasitic forms that cannot function unless they are able to find a female and fuse onto her flesh. There, their teeny tiny lives become non-existent as their fused remains as used as gamete supplies by the female.

So dramatic is this difference between the sexes, and the parasitic-fusion nature of the males, that for quite a while it was thought the anglerfishes only consisted of females.

I hear spiders can die in a frozen manner from being sprayed with hairspray (also rubbing alcohol)

I know this for a fact because I saw it myself. My mom sprayed a large spider with hairspray and the thing froze, never to move again.:p

*plans to stock up on hairspray*

Greenland shark is eaten rotten in order to get the urine out of the skin.

    Nice trade-off there.

Canned airduster works well too if you want to insta-freeze bugs and other pets. Just have to give it a good couple of shakes first.
