It was obvious that they intended the first one to be the only one, and now that it's become popular they're going to try and string a triology together.
It failed for Matrix, hopefully it will succeed for Pirates, cause Jack is the best character that Depp has ever played IMO.

Well from what i can tell it was ment to have more then one part. I mean they had the monkey at the end of the first one so that gave the hint that there would be a second one. That and i work in a building with Disney and they are already working on the 3rd one and it was always ment to be more the ONE movie. | |
