I try to avoid too much interaction with siblings. They aren't the type of people you want in your life. Too much caring about material items/status/money. My mom's fault.

I think me and husband are 1 kid and done. We might change our mind in 3 years, we are going to see how this goes.  

 

Thank God I don't have any.  

 

I used to have a very large family. They are all gone now   it's kinda sad that the michigan branch of my family is so small now. Family is very important.

 

i got one brother who i think has no kids. 4 sister, 2 have 2 kids, 1 says she doesn't have time for kids and the youngest has a 2 and a half year old. love that little guy who loves the Minions and toy cars.

23 cousins (two of which who unfortunately passed away). our grandma called my two late cousins, myself and 2 females cousins (both older than me) 'the first borns'.

i like the fact that i have a big family. the parties are awesome!

 

No not at all, me and the wife had the nursery all ready, clothes organized, I assembled all the items highchair, stroller, swing, etc, etc... everything ready to go. We bring her home and a day later it looked like a hurricane just went through the house. We thought we were ready boy were we wrong.

Cute! how old is she now? I can't wait to see my baby. This is my baby, sucking her thumb at the 16 week scan. I couldn't believe she was sucking her thumb already lol.

 

3 months, yea our baby girl was doing the same thing, in fact when she was born she came out with her hand next to her face.

Having a degree in education, a wife who briefly studied early childhood development/spent her life babysitting, and buying every possible thing we could need.........didn't prepare us for either of our daughters. Hell, having our first didn't prepare us for the second.

There are always surprises with kids and no amount of prep is enough - especially if there are complications. Both of our daughters were premature (3lbs and 4lbs respectively). Even after adding weight and coming home, one had kidney problems for the first few years and the other had supraventricular tachycardia (Heart issue).

Never mind the personalities. One daughter is at a 7th grade reading level at the end of third grade. The other hates reading and has a hard time. Same parenting tactics produced two VERY different children. Prep and training doesn't take that uncertainty into the calculation.

I'm 6 ft 5 inches, but I'm 195 lbs (should be closer to 180-185).

 

I don't know about that. I'm not even 5' 6" and weighing 175 lbs. At your height, at least 220.
