I'm surprised we finally decided to do something that is something you think we would have figured out by now with science how to protect and repair our pretty delicate spine.

They need to get on the Warf spine duplication and replacement surgery technology.

Hopefully, someone won't try to ban this procedure for some reason.

Medical science is hard, dude. The human body, especially parts like the brain and spine, are just so complex they're still largely a mystery. The problem is spinal nerves are so delicate they can't be grafted or moved, and you need them all. And before now they couldn't regrow.

It's just mindblowing that we might now have the technology to be able to repair these insanely delicate and intricate things. It really does put a grin on my face, especially after the way you put it.

I hope anyone that gets this done still has enough muscle to walk again, I'm not sure how that atrophy works long term I know they do things to keep their tone up as much as they can.

I guess it's case to case.

If you can't use it, you lose it. In this case, the spinal trauma was relatively recent, but others who have had spinal injuries that were simply too long ago may have lost too much muscle mass and ability to fully recover.
