also what seems a bit astounding to me is that all his colouring was done with a silver sharpie and black fine tip marker

I finally did it. The... This guy was just waiting on my shelf for two years for me to paint him. I finally did it. The reason I waited so long was because I wanted to give him proper hands and feet. ROTF really helped out. I used the hands I temporarily used on my boring ;) Power Up Megatron. Those came from leader class Jetfire. I cut part of the wrist and made a hole for them to slip on like the propellers. I then used the feet from voyager Fallen. I just had to shave a little bit of the ball joint to fit.

So now Incinerator looks complete. The long limbs make him look more menacing and insect like. I kind of like it. Seems like he'd be a vicious fighter. Love this guy.

Leader megatron #2 with articulated and transformable cannon arm. i gave him a darker shade of metallic drybrushing too. the elbow joint comes from TFTM jazz's knee joint. to make the blades fold, i used lego technic corner jointed bricks.











The fallen was made using 2 voyager fallens. his elbow joints came from the other fallen's hip joints.

however i did manage to take some sneak peaks.. and also some pics of some displays that my gf actually let me set up in the living room =D happy joy!


so hear is a 4x4cubicle shelf we have in the living room.. she actually gave me the top row! so i had some lights put up on top for display .. 3 of the 4 are customs i've done waiting to be photo'd by my new camera.. 1 of them is 99% done



The Fallen - done about a month ago.. just never got around to show him off


StarScream - completely finished about last week.. probably my favorite custom i ever did.. or atleast up there.


Nemsis Prime - WIP 99% done tho.. just minor things here and there.. i think came out really nice and better than i expected!


and here .. FOR FUN TO SHOW YOU GUYS.. my gf also let me put some TF's displays next to the tv/wall unit..

We are in the process of changing some things around with Radicons as a section overall, from layout to forum structure to staff to rules and guidelines.

As you can see, we've at least temporarily changed the forums to be more streamlined, and it's using the TFW2005 main skin.

In the mean time, we want your feedback. Please use this thread to sound off on what you like and don't like about Radicons as a whole:

The radicons specific skin
the way sub-forums are used
the "Radicons front page"
the prefixes used
the various "radicon specific rules" like requiring attachments
whether or not you liked or want back the image preview on posts
Or anything else Radicons related

We can go any way here. We could put it back 100% the old way, layout and skin wise, or, we can leave it like this, or we can further reduce and simplify things. Up to you guys really.

You may discuss general like/dislike of the way things were handled here. But DO NOT reference specific events or staff members. Just what you would like to see change (or not change) with the overall way this area was modded, the general "tone". If you guys get flame-like, or too specific, I will shut that part down completely. We don't air mod business in public. But Im interested to hear general vibes.

This is my first attempt at painting a figure! It's nothing special or fancy, just going to repaint ROTF Nightbeat black. Why? Cause I feel like it. :D Now how many people thought I would try repainting one of my 5 Sharkticons first....



One of the first things I've done is repaint the outside of the car parts on the arms. I'm using Elmer's Painters pens to do this, and they dry really quick, with what I feel is a nice result.



I haven't decided whether I'm going to repaint the flames in some other color or if I'm just going to leave it all black.



The next thing I've done is repaint his left arm. What I've found out is the pens aren't small enough to reach every little crack, so I'll be going back to do the arm again at some point with something.





And the only other things I've done is paint the headlights white and the flaps that make up hood of the car black.

So that's it so far. I'll be updating this thread as I progress. Comments and critiques are welcome. :D

After... I started this back in early 2008, but just recently went back to finish up some work on it. After seeing Kelvin's Megatron today and spoonman's Megatron custom recently, I've had the urge to finish up on this one also and finally share this up with those that never got to see it. As usual, this project has been in production for over a year and a half now (I REALLY need to keep cranking them out or do one at a time--lol). This was my first major styrene work. While I liked the overall look of Classics Megatron, it just wasn't "G1" enough for my taste. I cut off the old chest just above the hinge and built my own using 3 thick sheets of styrene. I added bits to the chest for more detail and I did my best to cut and shape it all to be more like the G1 Megatron from the toon. I'll update more on this soon with new pics and details. (sorry for the crappy pictures--I used an old digi-cam when I snapped these--new shots should be more clear and detailed). Don't mind the crappy silvery paint job--this was basically a test to see how the mods looked, then I tried to make it look worn a bit (to possibly keep the paint scheme), but it failed miserably. Trust me when I say you guys will dig the new shots MUCH MORE than these old WIP shots.

It has been a reeeally long time since I've last posted, me being overwhelmed by too many WIPs. However here's a little update; I finally completed this:



This little guy was made out of the original movie Soundwave missile and a Neo Shifter figure. The head was painstakingly sculpted from 2-part epoxy sculpt.

Yeah, he has individual teeth, too.

His eye is an led bulb, powered by a thin button cell which is slotted into his spinal cavity. And yes, he can sit pretty in Soundwave's launcher. He flies pretty far, too, for an unaerodynamic cat.

It never was meant to be movie accurate I guess, since my emphasis for him is to make him fun and look good together with daddy soundwave (especially in terms of scale). Hope you guys like it.

I got inspriation to do it from the likes of FR,... This is my 1st time doing a custom transformer. I got inspriation to do it from the likes of FR, malfunction and sicoe to name a few his superion is awsome. im doing a menasor based on the pic below using the classics range. Im not a big fan on using the primus arms so im making dragstrip and deadend as the full arms similar to malfunctions menasor. So far I have done most of the joints and the torso. I need help on how to connect the arms to the main body so any suggestions would be appreciated.

But after reading some... When Henkei Thundercracker was released, I was literally DYING to get one!! But after reading some reviews and was advised not to by my friends because it had many flaws and I didn't have the money to get one, I was bummed out about the whole thing.... I really wanted that Thundercracker

Then.... I found Acidstorm at some store, last one for that matter, so I bought it and immediately started my work to convert it into my very own Thundercracker with my own style (sadly, after I was halfway through, I noticed it was leaning towards Henkei :p)

Now, after a total of 18hrs of work, he's finished... sorta... You can still see some of the green paint on him if you look closely, but this is a prototype still :)
This marks my very FIRST whole repaint of a figure, rather than the touch ups I've been doing so far, pictures bellow, I hope you enjoy :)

Painted behind the forearm so that it's totally hidden in Jet mode to give it a more "realistic" look


Didn't want to paint over the insignia, so painted around it, it came out pretty decent but will work on it more over

Finally being added to the collection and has been converted 100%, Thundercracker will now resemble me in my Funnies comic with a fist full of lighting and a presence as striking as a thunder roar :D


* Painted using Tomaya Metallic Blue (courtesy of TCracker, thank you for your advice on the choice :D), Tomaya Chrome Silver for the obvious parts, Tomaya Royal Blue for the tail wings, and Tomaya Black for the nosecone and wheels

** I want to give him his own markings, like some thunder on the back instead of those normal red/white striped, but it might prove hard to do, any advice regarding this? :)

*** As my very first total repaint of a figure, I'm very well DELIGHTED and PLEASED how it came out... The fact that I painted him into Thundercarcker aside, I prefer this one over the Henkei type because this has filled me with a sense of accomplishment for the work I put into making this :)

I DEFINITELY enjoyed making him, and I really do hope you've enjoyed viewing him :)

Man, its been a while since I worked on anything that wasnt a Prime base. Here is the Voyager class megatron, in much need for an upgrade to reflect G1 toon.

Here are the changes,
1) a new weapon, with light up Decepticon symbol.
2) new chest area and stomach
3) Articulated hands - yes, no more unmoveable fingers. Megatron can now point, and hold the Matrix.
4) A new back
5) a new transformation sequence to reflect the gun. (This transformation is based on Zizi's great classic megatron).

I'm not too happy with how this came out but I would love some feedback for what I did wrong so the next figure will come out better (Help me grow!!!)

Anyway, this is for YourReflections Brutality kit. It's Energon Strongarm and there are four things I wanted to accomplish with this. Paint his the vehicle hood purple, change the red on his shoulders and brow to Purple and get rid of the 'bot symbol.

No problem with the last one. So, I washed the figure, masked off the pieces with masking tape, hit it with Krylon Fusion Primer, and used Model Masters purple pearl acrylic paint.

Now, the part that came out messed up (probably due to me being over ambitious) was the hood. I attempted to mask off the little lines to leave some yellow on the hood. Well, when I removed the tape I had purple and primer everywhere. Not sure what I did wrong? Did I use the wrong type of masking tape? Or did I not mask stuff off well enough? Was it the brand of primer or paint that I used?

Anyway, I touched him up with some black sharpie and he looks better and I can live with it for now, but I'm gonna try again when I find another Strongarm. Sorry for the pics. I can post some better ones if need be.

EDIT: Some new pics from my digital camera instead of cell phone. Still working on learning how to take good pics AS WELL AS customizing :) So much to learn in this new hobby!

the only things i added were neoshifter parts







its not the best i know. but its a start.
his arms seem too long. what im thinkin would be cool, is if i made his scoop arm into a sort of scorponok style tail in robot mode then just plug it in for vehicle mode.

im not too sure yet.

suggestions would be greatly appreciated :D

i figured i'd give Galvy his own page
along time ago i told myself to never repaint megatron as Galvatron, Galvatron is in my mind is a amusing and cool character, but a lesser of megatron, a desperate dieing megatron trying to survive, that aloud Unicron to Change him, his name, and thought proccess. Everthing Megatron was...... Galvatron isnt.
i looked at the size between the two G1 toys and the movie suggest that galvtron is suppose to be bigger and stronger,with a smaller yet powerful cannon. i personally dont like shockwave as a tank in any fashion, i've grown to love him as a gun, Galvatron i can see as a tank, insainly crushing and blasting anything in his way.
when i bought this toy i thought oooh shockwave transformered it, and thought wtf!!!! he looked wicked, villianous,and frighting but not shockwave to me,as well as soundwave too wtf.
I started this whole class of what ever year,as my own personal protest of TFA character mutilation..the show story is good i just dont like Character like bulkhead &,sentenal prime and prime being under Ultramagnus,lungnut,sari and black aracnia.
love bumbblebee,prowl,jazz,megatron,blitzwing and everthing else. but i love G1 And Beast wars so i expect all TF's show to be that great,i want to feel those characters, and love hate them.
in my next photos i'll put him next to some one blue like ultramaguns,for the record he is a color called metallic periwinkle.soon to have amethyst high lights for a shodow effect.

I was stupid and used the target exclusive figures before I even thought to use the others, but in my defense I wasn't really collecting at that time and didn't know the landfill team even existed. I am thinking of going 2 ways with paint. Either black with green and purple accents or darker green with black and purple accents. not too sure yet. I have him built finally with the help of Sioce. Thanks alot bro I really appreciate it.

I used lego knights and universe connector ports for the joints. I had to make mixmaster like most of you have which was a real treat considering I had nothing to really go on until Sioce helped me out with some pics. Tell me what you guys think.

So I got this commission a while back, I typically give the option to commissioners for electronics, now that I enslave BigHank in my shop (he's chained to the soldering station in fact)

I offered/sealed the deal for "light up eyes" on this commission, however Big Hank decided to raise his bar (again) and install not only RED led eyes, but a switchable set so that when the autobot/decepticon gimmick thing was turned to "Autobot" Wheelie's left eyeball would be blue (like in the movie, thanks to Mikaela blowtorching it so nicely)

From what I understand (way above my head) there's an actual microchip which senses where the gimmick faction thing is positioned.
