The article pretty much states that "Beth Sepko Casting and Third Coast Extras recently posted casting calls on Facebook to attract some warm bodies to fill in during Austin production from June 3 – 20."

Interesting enough the qualifications for being a "Type A" extra are

"Ranchers, oil men and women, realtor types that sell Dallas mansions, small town salt of the earth types, and strong southern-looking men & women- with faces that have a real local Texas flavor to their look and uniqueness!"

Also within the qualifications arena "Have no fear, because Transformers 4 is also in need of female Caucasian extras that happen to be “between the ages of 16 – 23 fit, tan, attractive with an ‘all-American’ Texas type look.”

For... If I was able to make an ending for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, I would have done this. For starters, I would have made shockwave the actual main villian. So for the ending battle, this is how I would put it - after bringing cybertron to earth, megatron would thank sentinel for his work, turn around, beat him a few times and kill him by stabbing him, and blasting his head off with his own gun. Then, with optimus witnessing, I would have starscream say that megatron is crazy and have megatron slap him around while starscream fights back, then have megatron kill starscream by shooting a hole through his body and crushing his head. While crushing his head, optimus shoots megatron and they start to battle. Then shockwave arrives. Megatron orders for him to help him kill prime but shockwave says that megatron is weak and it is logical for him to lead. So all three of them fight each other. Shockwave gets injured a little bit by megatron and recovers some while prime and megatron are going at it. So after an epic fight, optimus has megatron barley living and shockwave comes up behind prime and stabs him. Shockwave thanks the two for fighting and weakening each other and helping him out. So right when he almost kills him, megatron (laying down due to damage) shoots shockwave in the head, and optimus gets up and starts shooting him to hell with megatron. So optimus throws him across the street and kills him by kicking him into the beam that was shot into the sky to deliver cybertron, which destroys the planet and shockwave. So to finish it off, optimus walks over and sees megatron crawling. He says "I wish there could have been another way" and puts his axe in his head and rips it off (like in the movie). I have never ever created a new thread before, and I'm sorry if some of you find this thread pointless or stupid, but reading this article, I was unable to not think about DOTM.

Some people didn't deem it possible that the Ark should have caused an explosion, when it crashed, because of the lack of oxygen on the Moon.

Also, this article makes me wonder . . . would we really see an explosion with the naked eye, if the meteorite was only a mere three feet wide? How can they be so sure that it was, what they say it was? Di Bonaventura Pictures and DreamWorks SKG in association with Hasbro are set to begin production on the Paramount Pictures science fiction action film "Transformers 4". Casting directors are auditioning actors in Los Angeles, as well as Austin, TX where filming will take place beginning late May, 2013. The extras will be cast throughout filming. Additional shooting will take place in various locations including China. This project is currently being referred to as "Untitled Transformers Sequel," and will the first feature film to be shot using smaller digital IMAX 3D cameras.

Jimmy88 kicking it over here in the windy city, sounds like TF4 is heating up in Austin. Not sure if this would interest anyone but I came across this article. Recently I did some work on Chicago Fire and they use Cinespace Chicago Film Studios to operate out of, which is the studio that Mr. Bay used to store all of the props, set pieces, and vehicles for TF3, and Mr. Bay might be looking at the Cinespace location for TF4. Anyway Cinepsace posted this and according to this article the Chicago film industry is going to have a major film boom this summer with a total of 5 TV shows and 3 feature films(TF4 being one of them) filming here. Near the bottom of the article Rich Moskal, who is the director of the Chicago Film Office states that Transformers 4 is expected to be on par with Transformers: Dark of the Moon in regards to explosions, action, and celebrity sightings, I AM GETTING PUMPED-and no that is not a Mark Wahlberg reference;)

"And when the "Transformers" sequel is shot in August and September, it is expected to be roughly on par in scope with last time, when celebrity sightings and explosions rocked Wacker Drive for days.

Looking through the Titan comics, I came across an intriguing storyline: an alternate timeline of the Movieverse, which depicts what would have transpired had Megatron won in the first film.

There are events that bear a remarkable similarity to DOTM:
- The Decepticons recruit human agents, who capture Mikaela and implant her with a bug to bring her under control.
- Optimus Prime and the Autobots leave Earth at the behest of the United States President (actually a Con agent). And as their shuttle takes off, it is blown apart... but in fact they faked their death.
- The Decepticons turn an Earth city into their heartland (in DOTM it was Chicago, in this story it’s Savannah, Georgia)
- It all ends with Optimus allowing Megatron and the Decepticons to have Cybertron, while the Autobots get to stay on Earth... then Optimus activates a space bridge mechanism in Cybertron, that transports the planet and the Decepticons on it off to some unknown part of the universe (Megatron: “PRIIME!”).


The weird thing is, the comics probably did some things better than DOTM did:
- they actually went to some trouble to work out how to revive Cybertron, rather than trusting to slaves for manual labour to rebuild the planet. The story goes that the alternate fuel Nucleon was used to keep Cybertron going after the Allspark and its energon-giving capabilities were lost. Unfortunately, this stuff being the equivalent of crack, Cybertron ended up becoming wild and uncontrollable.

- The Decepticon human conspiracy is a little more developed than in DOTM. Rather than have a retcon involving Apollo, humans are being recruited in the aftermath of Mission City (which sounds a better progression of events), and picking on specific humans (they actually managed to get a President in office).
And the use of the Con humans is a little more effective – they put in effect a “Autobots Go Home” campaign to stir the public against them (which works to some level), and later on when their President is in place they make him order the Autobots to leave Earth.
There’s also mind-control involved – which sounds a little lamer than having greedy cowardly humans, but the story makes it work in a sinister and dark way because it means total control and subjugation (Starscream mocks a mind-controlled Mikaela for not being able to do whatever she wants, but whatever HE wants).

- This ending’s so much cooler than what DOTM did. Optimus won’t kill the Decepticons, but he’s not going to put up with any more of their slag, so he just gets rid of them all by sending them into somewhere else. It’s quite surreptitious and yet benevolent on Optimus’s part as he found a way to defeat them without resorting to mass slaughter, and it also guarantees their return in another instalment.
And in a sense, it’s a happy ending for all: the Autobots get to stay on Earth with their buddies, and the Decepticons get their homeworld back. It’s perhaps the closest the story could get to closure and yet keep it open for a future instalment.

Although i love TF1 and DotM and think those two movies have interesting stories and can see that RotF has many problems in the writing and story aspect but i still enjoy RotF anyways. But anyways all people do is complain about the story being bad and say the movies are automatically bad as a whole. But why does Avatar get away with this? Now to be honest i have never seen Avatar but when people i know talk about it they say how the special effects are really good but the story mostly sucks. So why does Avatar get a free pass at a crappy story while transformers doesn't. I know someone going to say because the special effects in Avatar is better. Now although i haven't seen the movie i have seen what the movie looks like in terms of the effects used and to be honest the effects are so over done that you know its all blue screen. While Transformers at least they film on location and use real explosions.

Point is hows does Avatar get away with a story thats meh but the special effects make up for it while Transformers gets "the story sucks the whole movie sucks."

How come in beginning of the movie Optimus talks about the human race and the fallen like he knows what happen, But in the movie he says origin unknown about The Fallen

I love jet fire but if the fallen left him on Earth to rust, How did he become Autobot? I mean I get that there were Autobots But who led them after the 6 primes died?

Wheelie just disappears out of nowhere, When they go to the tombs wtf?

Following up to the fallen, If Optimus had no idea who we was Then how did he say, They were your brothers to referring to the primes

I get that Optimus is a descendent so does that mean there it's a bloodline? Instead of the matrix

I love how when Optimus is fighting three Decepticons at once, No Autobots help him WTF, Yes I know they got there late But bumblebee was there And shouldn't they have come with him? I mean Optimus and bumblebee just coming is stupid You would think they would have had backup

This isn't really a question, This just bugged me, Optimus says thank you Sam for saving my life when he saved sams in the first place!

Bumblebee kills so many Decpticons! Throughout all three movies it's ridiculous, He's a scout but kills more than Ironhide Who is the weapon specialist and supposed to be the strongest besides Optimus, That's why sentinel killed him

Why weren't the wreckers in the second one! The twins and Arcee sisters Were completely useless, Same with jolt, The wreckers would've been way more efficient if they did come with them, Like director Marian said they did

What characters do you think that had so much potential and... The title pretty much says it all. What characters do you think that had so much potential and wished they had never died and why? My choices are: Ironhide, Shockwave, Bonecrusher, Megatron, and Barricade. Ironhide's death was one of the necesarry deaths in TF3, but it was so poorly handled, on top of the fact that we never really got to see him and Prime battling side by side besides the brief moment in the beginning of TF2. Megatron had to have been redeemed from DOTM, because he may have acted like he was the mastermind, but really he was just Sentinel's bitch. Plus he was relatively weak. Same with Shockwave and Barricade. Their performance in DOTM was quite lame and they had so much potential. Bonecrusher was just one of the decepticons that could've sent chills down Cybertronians, Autobots and Decepticons alike. I have had the displeasure of watching several other terrible movies Bay has made, he's not a good film maker, he's not creative ( how many slow-motion helicopters do you need?). He panders to the lowest common denominator and then whines when anyone points that out.

Bay sucks, not just with Transformers, but with film in general.

Arguments that he "Makes Bank" are invalid, Shakeweight makes bank, Niki Minaj makes bank.
