No, I've never seen it done. I'm posting this as a suggestion. I was just thinking it would make for a really bad ass and imposing body for Shockwave. It's already got a gun arm, albeit on the wrong arm, but still. Give him a Halo Covenant-looking metallic purple paint job, a new head, and BAM! you got yourself one menacing live-action Shockwave who even turns into a tank!

Add to that a custom made "All Are Dead" diorama with a pile of rubble, and you got yourself some screaming fans.

Below are pictures of all the talent partaking in the project as well as one very talented Altitron, providing a one of a kind poster. Posted this in general instead of the custom area as not all the customs are mine. If there is any way for a mod to please front page this? It would be greatly appreciated and will no doubt help this charity auction to reach the right people.

First, the useful website: Color Match 1.0. Input the hexadecimal color code for any old thing and it'll give you the best color matches from a ton of different model and hobby paint lines. Usually your photo editor of choice will let you use the eyedrop tool to see the hex code. I've been using this site in conjunction with photos from TFU.info or TFWiki to figure out the best possible matches for my kitbashes. Once you get the hang of the interface, it's one of the best resources I've found in a long time.

The dumb question: Is there a walkthrough or outline for the construction and assembly of a Ptitvite-style Devastator? I'd swear there used to be one floating around.

As the title says, Is there a good way to Thicken water based paints.
I've been using Createx Airbrush Colors as my detail paints for about 6 to 8 months.
I've never had a problem with the thickness of them until I used the
Fluorescent Green. It's just seems so much thinner then the rest.
I thought about letting it "sit" for a lil while (to thicken) before using it,
but does anyone have any better idea or tips ?

Thanks in advanced.

The only thing I can find, since his site is long gone is the following link:
Alternators Kitbash: Autobot Wheeljack review at Kaboodle

If anyone can help with either old pics from TFMaster's work, or if anyone has reference pics of the original car, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

Heya guys...

Whenever I've had to dismantle a TF and I've gotten to the pins, I've had pretty mixed results. Sometimes I'm able to punch out the pins pretty easily with improvised tools (small screwdrivers, rubber mallet, etc), while other times, it's been an absolute nightmare.

I figured it's about time to get a specialized tool for the job, so I won't get bogged at that stage.

Can anyone recommend a good, reliable pin-punching tool?

Watch Band Pin Remover Punch Spring Bar Replacing Tool - eBay (item 200405140753 end time Dec-12-09 01:53:05 PST)
I saw this one on ebay from Australia... seems to have a built-in spring mechanism, but I'm not sure if it would be strong enough. I've seen other pin-punches online, but it's been unclear if they actually have a punching mechanism, or whether they're just a pin with a metal grip.

Thanks for any info! :)
Shadow the Hedgehog: Cybertron Megatron/Galvatron
Metal Sonic: Movie Megatron (2007 Leader class)

hey all....aspiring repainte2 Bucket here with a question. what do you use to remove the pre-existing stickers and labels and whatnot off of the G1 'bots? I want to do some repaints of G1 seekers, but the things are loaded with stickers and the like. I have tried a few things, but most either marr the surface of the plastic, or don't work. And I don't have the patience for scraping them off with a razor blade.
thanks
I have a big box of parts from BW/G1 KOs, Beast Wars(Scorpinock minus bee, 1 missle, and legs/Rattraps shell/+more) and many random incomplete transformers and bots. (I also have Masterpiece Prime's gun.. :l)
(I have many incomplete movie tfs and FABS included in this.)
No pics at the time, but trust me when I say you can use 99% of this stuff for customs.
If you are interested, please PM me.
I am selling my remaining TFs to a comic shop, but I don't think they want my incomplete bots and parts.

Customs: Sharpie Extra Fine Water Based Paint Markers?

Will these work alright for panel lining? Because in the tutorials section I have seen...

Will these work alright for panel lining? Because in the tutorials section I have seen recommendations for the Rose-art paint markers and some other paint markers. But I have heard not to use sharpies because they can change the color of some plastics, however the "metalic" sharpies work since they are paint.

So here is my problem, I found these "water based paint poster markers" on amazon, and according to the description they are a water based paint. But they do not state what kind of paint the markers are and there is practically no information on if these paint markers are safe for plastic or even if it adheres to plastic. I would just buy some Deco Color paint pens, but they are not nearly as affordable as the sharpie water based paint pens.

So has anyone tried these pens?

...because I could never stand that guy's mug. I'll also be swapping his arms out, but that'll be later. Anyway, I went and took pictures of all kinds of heads, just to get an idea of what would work and what wouldn't. Thought I'd share them for you guys to look at.

G1-style heads I think I can totally rule out; you'll see some examples below that are pretty bad. Also tried a mecha-type head from Armored Core. Way too small, but I'm wondering if that concept (think Whirl) might do?

I'm actually liking head number 3 (the Stockade head with the antennae added), though I keep going back and forth on it.

So I was wondering if you guys could give some suggestions regarding heads that might actually work on this body type? I have a headless picture in the batch if someone wants to digibash an idea--otherwise, you can shout them out. I've been scanning through my collection for a head that might work, and I'm just drawing a blank. Any help you can give would be great. :)
