Since some brother had ask me some review with the THS-02, I just put this on here...and hope...

Since some brother had ask me some review with the THS-02, I just put this on here...and hope someone will come over to see
but first of all, I think this THS-02 That I got is not the first Edition, like the one on 2006, but much better then the new one@2009

the paper show this maybe before MP-03, and also..it's much smaller then I think, even smaller then the revoltech

but even the SIZE Matter, but the detail is much better then I think, and also better then the Revoltech OP

The silver part is still being shine after couple yrs

but theres some wrong always about the arms, but the shoulder give OP have more place to being more pose

Thats what my classic OP's pose...

I still dont like the Axe

on repair.....and the box on the trailer can put all the different inside, nice!!

big enough...

well....before this, I never think that things its using like this...

even small, but still very good with other mini-con

roller is the same size as other cars

but I hate the vehicle mode

even a touch, it will become an accident truck....wat a transformers

with the mini con

Review: well, use a chinese saying is: even small, but it have it all.
The Robot Mode is good, and cool, even less move then the Revoltech, but it's much closer to our OP in my childhood,
but the Vehicle is suck.....

but the trailer is really a sharp point, also the Autobot logo stand is really good

I will give 90points on this item....

ROTF Leader Starscream Pictorial Review

Because you demanded it, a pictorial review of Leader Starscream!

Image:...

Because you demanded it, a pictorial review of Leader Starscream!

Obviously, he retains the F-22 alt mode seen in the films, with the tattoos he got in the prequel comics:

He's pretty big, definitely hefty, especially compared to his voyager version:

He's definitely got more mass than the Masterpiece Starscream, even though side by side MP Screamer is about 1/2" longer (mostly due to the nosecone):

The underside does have some robot bits, but at least this time they did what they could to minimize the impact. It follows the basic lines of the underside of a plane, unlike on Leader Jetfire. The missiles tab in under the wings, no place else I've found to store them in plane mode:

Transformation is fairly involved, but not nearly as frustrating of a first time learning curve as Leader Prime. The legs fold out from the bottom, the arms fold out from the back of the jet and the whole assembly folds in half to form the torso, then the arms and back panels swing up and lock into place, and you have a pretty damn decent looking Starscream!

I've heard complaints about the paint apps, especially on the face, but you certainly can't argue much with the sculpt itself!

Gimmicks in robot mode include his mouth opening when you pull on this canopy (see the vid review, I couldn't get a decent picture one-handed), and his forearms each contain a pop-out weapon. Right arm has a gatling gun and the left has a pair of missiles. Also, his head can turn about 45 degrees to either side and the gimmick still functions.

Poseability is pretty decent, lots of pins, hinges and swivels, and the fingers and "thumbs" move independently. No wrist swivel, but considering how the arms are out together with the pop out weapons, it would have been hard to to do without seriously causing some fragility issues in the forearms.

Either hand can fold up and use the missile launcher weapon:

It can store on his back in robot mode, along with the missiles:

Some quick size comparisons:

With Leader Prime:

With Human Alliance Sam:

With Masterpiece Starscream:

Firing at the visual recording device:

and a quick turnaround with the voyager version:

As you can see, he's a lot better than the voyager version. Not to knock the smaller one, but the leader version just seems *right,* in a way the voyager version doesn't. He's not perfect (back boosters?), but he's pretty darn close. At least for now, he's the definitive version of the movie Starscream design. Highly recommend nabbing him when he comes out.

ROTF Voyager Mindwipe pictorial review

Figured it was time to get back to basics on these guys. Up now: Voyager Mindwipe!

Image:...

Figured it was time to get back to basics on these guys. Up now: Voyager Mindwipe!

No longer a bat, Mindwipe is now an F-117 Stealth Fighter (well, close enough, at any rate)

On of the things that's really nice about him is that while you can see robot parts from the underside...

...There's practically no kibble to speak of. Just a nice sleek looking jet:

Size wise he's about the same size as Voyager Starscream. I'm not sure what the actual scale between the F-22 and the F-117 is, but they don't look out of place side by side:

Also, on top, there are a couple of peg holes for scout class Sky Stalker to connect to the top of Mindwipe in vehicle mode:

Transformation is fairly simple. The front splits and forms the legs/feet, the middle and cockpit forms the arms/blades, and the head flips up from the underside. There's some neat automorph in the wings as well:

His head is cool, three eyes painted silver behind the clear red visor:

He's much taller than Voyager Starscream. about an inch taller at the head, two if you count the wings.

His arms have the blades attached. The can fold up and store, and drply by pressing a button. They spring forward, but not very far:

One of the neater features is that if you don't care for the chicken legs, you can fold the skinny bits back into the black parts and have him look a little more normal:

Overall, he's pretty cool. He gives off a vaguely bat-like vibe. I can't wait to see how exactly Sky Stalker attaches and if he does anything other than just plug on in jet mode.

Review of Botcon 2009 Thunderclash

Image: http://www.transformers-universe.com/content/images/Imagemaps/Botcon2009Thunderclash_Map.jpg...

For more pictures click on the image above

Prelude: Thunderclash is a repaint of Energon Rodimus and I originally intended to do just a few remarks here, but those few remarks somehow managed to turn into a full review. So here goes.

Robot Mode: Thunderclash is, of course, based on the G1 character of the same name, and his color scheme reflects that. At least in robot mode. Botcon Thunderclash has a more turquoise coloring where G1 Thunderclash is a light blue, but otherwise the two look pretty similar in robot mode, color-wise at least. I'm just a bit uncertain why they didn't paint Botcon Thunderclash's Autobot logo inside his own winged logo as it was in G1, but instead set it above it. Oh well.

Thunderclash's posability is average for a toy from the Energon line-up. In theory he's pretty much fully posable, but his huge legs and the wheeled shoulders restrict him somewhat. One thing I don't like at all here: Bending his legs forward at the waist causes his crotch plate to flip up, which looks funny. Also he's a bit misproportioned, again because of the huge legs. Overall, though, there is very little wrong with Thunderclash in terms of looks and posability.

Weapon-wise Thunderclash carries a big transparent-blue missile launcher. The comic also showed him capable of launching small missiles from the wheels on his shoulders. So firepower isn't an issue with him. And if you want some G1 nostalgic feelings, you can swivel his hand around and replace it with the afterburner from his vehicle mode, giving him a special-power-hand like in days of yore. So overall, when it comes to Thunderclash's robot mode: He could be better, but he isn't bad.

Alternate Mode: Thunderclash transforms into a long-nosed racing truck with afterburner engines on the back. There isn't a whole lot of resemblance to G1 Thunderclash in this mode. The two don't really look similar enough in truck mode (or have anything resembling a similar transformation pattern) to have matching paint jobs here, either. Still, as truck modes go Thunderclash looks pretty decent here. Both paint job and detailing are pretty good. Thunderclash's weapon can be mounted on the back of the truck, where it can fire just about every which way but directly forward. So all in all a pretty decent vehicle mode. No complaints.

Combiner Mode: Being a repaint of an Energon Powerlinx figure, Thunderclash can, of course, combine with other Powerlinx figures such as Energon Rodimus, either as an upper or a lower body. The Rodimus mold isn't the best when it comes to being a lower body, as this pretty much consists of just flipping his upper body back and leaving his lower body, as well as a huge rucksack. As an upper body, though, Thunderclash looks very good. The arms aren't exactly the most posable in the world, as the hip-joints-turned-shoulder-joints are rather restricted, but he looks great with the additional weapons (really his 'normal' arms) on his shoulders and a very muscular look overall. So if you want to powerlink Thunderclash, put him on top.

Remarks: Thunderclash was the leader of the very first Autobot Elite Guard unit in the Botcon comic book, being shown as an inspiring, charismatic authority figure. He didn't really do all that much during the fight, but he gave courage to his comrades and never lost hope.

I always had a soft spot for G1 Thunderclash for some reason, so I'm glad to see a homage to him. I'm not a hundred percent certain about the choice of Energon Rodimus, though. Both become trucks, but that's pretty much their only similarity. And while Energon Rodimus is certainly more posable than G1 Thunderclash ever was (which isn't hard), he is still a bit limited when compared to the other figures from the Wings of Honor set. Still, a nice figure, but to me the weakest of the set of five.

Rating: B-

Here are some pics and a brief review of Revenge of the Fallen Infiltration Soundwave, which comes with a redeco of Bumblebee as part of the N.E.S.T. Battle Pack, priced at about $25

Robot Mode

The Soundwave is notblack.
The Soundwave is blacknot.
The Soundwave is black.........................not.
In case you missed it, Infiltration Soundwave is NOT black, contrary to the mislabling it was given by TFormers.com.
This Soundwave is more of a light, dull, cobalt blue.

He also has brick red plastic, and his satellite panels are black plastic. He has a red fade on his arms, yellow fire detail on his chest, a silver face, silver Decepticon emblem, and, oddly, a light orange (almost "peach" color) on the panel below his chin and painted on his legs. He also has dark red translucent plastic. The Ravage missile is dark grey plastic.

Infiltration Soundwave is, in my opinion, second only to Black Soundwave in terms of deco. He's definitely much better than the dull gray original release Soundwave, and I like his colors better than G1 Colors Soundwave from the "Gathering at the Nemesis" set.

The only thing I don't like about his deco is that weird orange paint. Some people might have a problem with the "flame" design on his chest, but I like it. I also like how the Decepticon emblem looks like a lapel pin, making Soundwave a Boss Pimp.

Alternate Modes (Satellite/Space Cruiser)

Infiltration Soundwave has the most colorful alt. modes of the four Soundwave decos. He's still primarily blue, with red translucent plastic that mimics the glowing red portions that Soundwave had in the movie (and a red visor on his alt. mode "head" which is accurate). He also has silver paint on his satellite panels, with a red fade on the ends that is supposed to mimic them glowing as he goes through Earth's atmosphere.

Overall, I think Infiltration Soundwave is the best choice of a Soundwave for people who don't like the weak original deco and don't want to spend $100+ for Black Soundwave or $50 for G1 Colors Soundwave. At $25, the N.E.S.T. Battle Pack is worth the price just to get this Soundwave (not to mention an offer for an exclusive Ravage redeco, and a Bumblebee repaint). Infiltration Soundwave is, in my opinion, the best deco next to Black Soundwave. The colors really look great, even better in person than the pics might show.
If you have yet to pick up an RotF Soundwave, or aren't happy with one you might have now, definitely check Infiltration Soundwave out. He's pretty cool! :bay

I didn't see a thread featuring just Perceptor so hopefully this won't get moved or deleted. If there is one though, please feel free to merge them.

Anyway, I just went to my local TRU and picked him up.

Not a bad figure and the packaging alone is fantastic & the box art superb.

I didn't notice it until I got home and freed him from his box, but basically his missile firing gun has no spring in it so it just falls right out after inserting it.

This is my first Perceptor figure, so I can't do any comparison photos with the older versions. I did notice however, that his missile firing gun has a different colored red almost orange on it.

I'm really impressed with this figure.

(Edit: After examining the original and the Hasbro Commemorative edition, his missle gun is the color it's supposed to be)

Here's a history lesson-

In the original 1984 Transformers series, the so-called "evil forces of the Decepticons" were not very impressive. In total, Megatron's forces numbered one tape deck, a camera & some multicolored jets. So when the toyline was expanded in '85, several new Decepticons came into the fray-including one of the most memorable Robots in Disguise of all time:

YouTube - Transformers - Devastator's debut!

DEVASTATOR! To this day many consider him to be the definitive Combining Robot. I know GoLion & SuperSentai really originated the tradition but back in 1985 before the Internet & the popularity of import stores, options for collecting the Japanese Combiners were severely limited. So for many young fans this was the first real chance we had to own a Combiner toy.

As the year went on Hasbro introduced several other Combiners including Menasor, Superion,
Bruticus,
and Defensor. These all followed different body-type than Devastator. Fans have affectionately dubbed these the "Scramble City" Combiners (named after a particularly bad Transformers episode where they all swap limbs on a regular basis.) All of these designs are now very popular among knockoffs & can probably be found at any dollar store.

But before the Transformers franchise moved away from standard Generation-1 designs in favor of gimmicks like the Headmasters, one more Combiner was made- probably the most unique figure of its time.

Like all Transformers Combiners the figures in question consist of their own sub-group: the Predacons (a name which would become even more famous a decade later when supported by an extremely good CGI series), five robotic Decepticon animals.

Razorclaw is the leader of the Preds, a powerful (& colorful) lion in Beast Mode.

Robot Mode's not very special by itself, like most "G1" toys it has minimal articulation. And, like each Predacon, Razorclaw is armed with a sword & a gun.

Rampage, the Tiger.

Again, not much to say about him.

Divebomb, the Eagle.

Probably my favorite of the individual designs. Just because I like the wings.

Tantrum, the Bull. Profoundly stupid name.

The arm design gives him a greater degree of motion than the others. Still not that much special about him.

And last but not quite least is Headstrong- the Rhinoceros.

Another boring brick.
The Predacons by themselves may be unimpressive but-like most Teams- their true strength lies in their Combination!

PREDAKING! The ultimate hybrid of Beasts, Predaking is a badass force of destruction. He remains the biggest, toughest Combiner that Hasbro has ever made (but he pales in comparison to Sentai forms like GrandLiner or G12).

Predaking's traditional weapon is an arm-mounted cannon but he can also use any of the swords belonging to the individual Predacons.

Since Predaking is made of larger, stronger parts than typical Combiners he is blessed with more points of articulation than most Combined teams. Specifically, Predaking actually has a functioning waist & (to a degree) movable elbows!

Predaking is just all-around awesome, one of the greatest Transformers toys in history. And for a Super Sentai fan like me-who's already accustomed to huge, colorful combining animals- he's pretty much the perfect toy.
