There have been a lot of posts of late bemoaning etiquette on tfw, how some posters do nothing but moan, complain or attack other users etc etc. Generally, how tfw2005 isn't such a great place to be and the fandom has somehow deterioriated. There was also some comparisons to other fandom forums (e.g. rebelscum, he-man.org etc)

Having just reminded myself of how elitist, snobby, clique and overall unpleasant and patronising the folks in the "Vintage" section of Rebelscum.com are, it's been brought home to me just what a great place tfw is to hang out at. Seriously - if you think we have problems here, really take a look at some of the other forums out there. They have greater problems. And I'm not just talking other fandoms - tfw beats the forums at tfarchive, seibertron.com etc into the ground in terms of friendliness, good discussions, INCLUSIVENESS and a sense of community and fun for the fandom.

Sure, we have some "big fish in little pond" syndromers here - the odd poster who (because some one LOL'd at something they posted a few years back) seem to think their tfw's Official Sarcastic Responder And Oh-So Funny Resident Poster... but they're few and far between. Mostly, what you get here is the things I listed above.

No, I'm not being paid by tfw here, and I'm not some hopeless optimistic that refuses to see fault in anything - I've just been reminded of how great TF fandom is in general, and the community here in particular.

And incidentally, I was one of those arguing that tfw should have its own "vintage"/G1 only section... but if the result is the fandom here becomes as splintered and demeaning here as it is on Rebelscum, then I retract my request!

I've got a lot of big projects coming up - Licensed projects - and I want to post them here, but not if this is the majority of the members here on the board. I don't know because I am not here as often as these people with thousands of posts. I can't be.

Yea, I have to be honest, I have been getting a lot of nasty PMs and emails over the placement of a post. I'm not a huge message board guy to begin with - I have a life away from the board and a job that keeps me from learning the ins and outs of this - and other - boards.

So. my question is, and I hope the answer is no, but is this the majority of the members on this board? If it is, tell me and I'll walk just that easy. Out of the entire time I've been on here, I've found THREE people who've been nice to me...

And call that what you will. but we're a part of this board to share a common interest.. Not be mocked and disrespected because someones' post count is higher than mine...

I am sick and tired of just PURE G1 fans, only the ones that have a problem with new series! (I think it is cool to love one series or have a favorite, but quit bashing everyone elses favorite series) I am not saying that I hate G1, because I don't, I think it was the best transformer series ever! But, I always see on these boards, people always bashing anything other than G1. PEOPLE, GET AN IMAGINATION!

So my kid was sick this morning and I put in a G1 DVD for him before I went to work. I took a while for my wife to come home and out of the blue my son goes, "Dad, Soundwave is an Autobot!". I was like "huh?". We went back and sure enough Soundwave had an Autobot logo on his chest. It was the third episode where the Decepticons blew a hole in the top of the mountain to escape from the Burma Ruby Crystal mine, after Sparkplug and Bumblebee set off the Detonator and became trapped themselves.

Thought is was kind of cool. Many of you probably already know about it, so it's just a cool heads up for the people that don't know about it.

Like the old guy Autobot thread, who's your favorite youngster in a TF continunity,
We have Bumblebee, Hot Rod, and (shudders) Wheelie in G1. Also, Hound, Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker to an extent.

We have Cheetor in Beast Wars

We have (shudders again) Nightscream in Beast Machines

We have Sideburn and Wedge in RID.

We have Hot Shot in Armada and Cybertron while we have (shudders again) Ironhide in Energon

We have Bumblebee and (shudders again) the twins in Movieverse.

We have Bumblebee (again) as well as The Jet Twins. Bulkhead and Blurr might be considered as well.

My favorite is Cheetor from Beast Wars.As the series progressed, he became more capable with his own abilities and he eventually became a a competent leader in his own right.
Hot Shot from Cybertron also fit this since he matured through out the series and became the leader of the Cybertron Defense Team.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, but here it goes:

I wanted to get a Beast Wars DVD boxset, and the only one I know of is Madman's Beast Wars boxset, which has a problem, it's region 4. I can only watch region 2 and 0 (all) DVDs. Is there any Beast Wars DVD boxset (or even separated by seasons) for region 2 or 0?

Also, I know that there still isn't available any complete DVD boxset for the Animated series, but when I found the ones for Season 1 and 2, they were region 1. Does anyone know which releases are available in region 2 or 0? And also if a complete boxset was already announced or not.

Megatron: I'm so sorry Starscream do you forgive me, I shouldn't have called you an idiot, how can I make it up to you.

Plotholes in the series?

Hi all, hope this hasn't been done before, but probably has. We've had several transformer series over the years, have you watched an episode and something has happened and you've thought well were was that character or why didn't they do that. For example in Megatron's Master Plan, the Autobots that boarded the rockets, there only seemed to be a handful of them, were was Skyfire, the Dinobots and others who were missing. Anyone know or got other plotholes from the series?

is there a possibility to get drawings of the Autobot and Decepticons Bases (backgrounds)?
I need this for my coming classic stop motions.
I�d like to give the classic TFs a li�ll real touch by replacing the backgrounds with some of the "Teletraan1" style computers, walls etc.
Some I got and went to a copy shop to inlarge them (damn exspensive:crazy:).

So yes, I'm a fair bit into season 1 of BM, and well, something's really getting to me. The god awful scale issues! Why are we led to believe that Megatron is the same size as Primal? Ha! Megatron was about the size of Optimal Optimus! So BM Primal would be tiny in comparison! And Rattrap becoming the lame little science officer. I miss Beast *Wars* Rattrap!

As I watch this series I just begin to lament over the Beast Wars and how great a series it was. So maybe this thread isn't about glaring errors, just more where the show went wrong! And I don't believe for a second that Rhinox would take the stand that Tankor does. Ever. I don't actually mind the whole organic origin of cybertron or any of that stuff, just the small errors that seem to plague the show.

*breaths* okay so maybe I'm just ranting.

There's Rhinox from Beast Wars

There's X-Brawn and Railspike from RID.

There's Scavenger from Armada

There's Landmine, Vector Prime, Brakedown, and Backstop from Cybertron

There's Ratchet, Ironhide,and Jetfire from Movieverse

There's Ratchet, Ultra Magnus, and Alpha Trion from Animated.

I say Rhinox since he was such a compelling character and he had the best weapons in the series: chainguns of doom.
