Here's a little tip for you. I was just looking at the Generations leader Jetfire & thinking I could fill in all those hollow parts with some of Alumilite's Amazing Casting Resin. You just mix it 1 to 1 & pour it in. In a few minutes it sets bright white. You can easily make solid legs & arms. And if the figure isn't white like Jetfire you can simply paint it.

I didn't post this is in the customs forum because you don't need any special skills. This is for everybody! If you can mix Kool Aid & pour it into an ice cube tray you can do this.

This is in no way easier than using some 2 part epoxy putty.

Is there a putty that sets bright white like Jetfire? The putty I use always sets gray. I just mentioned this because it matches Jetfire perfectly. You can pour it & forget it. Great for somebody that doesn't have any skills.

And it's a lot easier for somebody to tell you exactly what to get rather than simply mentioning "some 2 part epoxy putty" & then forcing them to figure out which putty to get & where to get it. I'm giving people an actual product name & telling them it will have the desired effect. That's a lot easier right there. For example, I was looking for something good to sculpt with for years. The only thing anybody would ever suggest was Sculpey. SCULPEY FUCKING SUCKS!!! It took me years to find a product called "Apoxie Sculpt". That's the stuff I was looking for. I wasted a lot of time struggling with shitty sucky Sculpey when somebody could have just as easily told me to get Apoxie Sculpt. I'd like to have all those wasted Sculpey years back.

And 1 more thing. Why is it so impossible for somebody to simply "Thank You!"? Instead of automatically trying to shoot my suggestion down why don't you just say "thanks for the tip!" or don't say anything at all? Maybe you're not interested in this but I'm sure there a lot of people that will be. First reply & I already regret mentioning anything. Maybe next time I should just keep it to myself & not try to help anybody?

I was just thinking about fabricating covers for the hallow areas.

In any case any and all ideas should be appreciated. Thanks for starting this thread.

I actually use resin to replicate parts (like guns) for my figures. I've never thought about using it to fill in hollow parts (although it's never really bothered me). I'll keep this in mind.

I'd love to get some of this stuff, but my problem is that here in Taiwan, the same brand names are not available.
I've wasted time and dough and patience on buying stuff that 'might' work. Next trip back to Canada, I'm gonna have to make a shopping list.

This stuff is AWESOME! And dries quickly. I've been using a little syringe to slowly drip it into all the little hollow parts in jetfire. Throw a few screws or nuts and bolts in there to add some weight and you're all set.

The finish ends up a bit shiny, but a little fine sandpaper and it blends right in with Jetfire. For $12 on Amazon, you could probably fill in all the hollow parts on 30 or so figures. Not sure if you can paint it or not... You might be able to add a few drops of dye to the mixture. I think I might try this when filling in Jetfire's feet.

Would this be a better choice than Green Stuff putty? I don't care about color.

Looks like the OP is banned so I don't think he'll be answering anytime soon. I have not used the Green Stuff Putty, but I've Aves Epoxy Sculpt and Lord Fusor 114 (an automotive plastic) which are both 2 part epoxy systems so I assume the Green Stuff putty works the same.

This filler works nice because it pours into what you are trying to fill as apposed to pushing the "putty" into any area. Being a liquid is nice in that it will completely fill in every area, but it also might leak through a crack here or there. For Jetfire it's perfect to match the bright white.

I have a sample painted that is drying now and I'm going to fill in Jetfire's feet with some weights in there that I am going to try and dye black so I'll let you know how that goes.

This stuff does dry harder than anything i've used before.

It doesn't like to be dyed. I put a few drops of black ink in the mixture and it doesn't dry as hard or as soft.

It is paintable. Just sand it down and it takes paint about as well as normal ABS plastic.

I used milliput for mine and it worked out quite well, i used vallejo white surface primer to paint over it and its a very close match to the stock white.
