Below are guiding principles for how and why we choose what goes into the creative spotlight, along with some general rules for the masses in relation to getting/not-getting featured. These are just our guidelines for what/how we post, not exact. Nothing is guaranteed to go up (or not) each month - for any reason.

    1. In order to qualify for a spotlight, the work has to be finished within the appropriate month. If a toy is still a WIP, it will qualify for the month whenever the project is finished. Each user is limited to one spotlight, per month, in both categories. If a user has works in both categories, they can only be spotlighted in either/or.

    2. Knock-offs and third party products with reproduced engineering are not eligible for a spotlight. Third party products with original tooling ARE allowed, as well as toys that aren't actually Transformers based. As long as the final product is Transformers-related, it's all good.

    3. Fanart: ANYTHING that is allowed in the Fan Art forum, including digibashes, are allowed with two exceptions: 1) Tracings of other's works, and 2) coloring of other people's various lineart and vectors.

    4. At this time, Fan Fiction is NOT currently supported in the TFW2005 Creative Spotlights. Fan Fiction is normally in a state of constant shifts, with most works being long completed, currently ongoing, or RPG Threads that will keep going for until everyone gets bored. The TFW2005 Staff are currently discussing how to handle Fan Fiction, so please be patient.

    5. We do not accept suggestions, nominations, or requests for what goes into the highlight posts. Featured entries are decided upon by 2005 Staff internally each month. Please don't start threads or campaign for inclusion in your posts/signature.

    6. All art and works must adhere to all other TFW2005 Rules. This includes pornographic artworks and customs created by people who have been banned from TFW2005.

    7. We wish to feature the best Radicons of the month. This doesn't mean that there aren't other great sites or customizers out there, but our focus is highlighting members who are non-affiliated elsewhere and TFW2005 proud. ANY customizers or artists whose work is actively promoting other sites, whether they be other Transformers websites or other toy sites regardless of niche, will not be eligible for spotlight. This includes image watermarks and links to such sites in signatures, etc.

    8. Any customizers or artists who primarily post in order to promote their own "Personal Brand" or to sell goods (including eBay auctions) will be considered only after "non-pro" submissions are worked through, if needed to fill out the monthly highlight post. We prefer to highlight the average fan / customizer who participates regularly on TFW2005 first with no ulterior motives.

    9. The TFW2005 Creative Spotlights are handled by long time TFW2005 Staff and take into consideration everything from the Creative Subforums that month. Please refrain from questioning the featured members or those not included via public posts, taking away from discussion of those whose hard work has been highlighted. If you have any concerns, please PM a TFW2005 Admin.
