I dig my Generations Kup (with iGear head of course) but I want to give him silver rims like the United and eHobby versions. Any tips? I've done some minor painting (eyes & visors) with Tamiya acrylics but obviously I don't want to ruin this figure. How about Tamiya X11? Any advice appreciated.

I have used the silver sharpies on wheels before.

They sell silver(& other color) paint markers at Walmart. I just got one and used it for the same reason: painting rims. Did CW Motormaster and Optimus Prime. And Blackjack and Windcharger. Turned out pretty well too.

I typically use Testors silver enamel on small, metallic parts such as rims. I'll keep a bottle of thinner nearby to keep my paint thinned out enough so that it won't gunk up during application. After about 2-3 days of dry/cure time, I'll coat the paint with Future to seal it up

Specifically with plastic tires, you can have a flat black handy in case you need to do some touch up work for any stray silver paint.
