I started this list mostly for my own purposes but decided to share it. The goal is to collect all the links for animated customs in one place, because frankly, searching the radicons board kind of sucks. If this is in the wrong forum, please move it.

I used the following criteria for inclusion. None of these are value judgements about what makes a good or a bad custom, this are just the things *I* wanted in the things included in my list. Nobody yell at me!

1. Must be COMPLETE. No WIPs.
2. Must be WELL DOCUMENTED. Multiple photos of reasonable quality.
3. Must TRANSFORM. I don't care about partsforming or cheating, but there has to be an altmode.
4. Official characters only.
5. The custom must take a toy who represented one character and make it into a different character for whom no toy, or no properly sized toy exists. There's some really awesome same-character repaints out there, but that's not what I'm going for with this list.
6. Some of these guys were done multiple times, notably the seekers. I tried to get sort of a cross-section of what's been done. This is meant to be a list of the various ways to do, say, TFA thundercracker. It is not meant to be an exhaustive list of every TFA thundercracker ever made.

Final disclaimer: Any custom omitted from this list is probably just an oversight and not a value judgement on its merit.

I tried to do something like this for all customs, as I agree that the search is very limited.

However, it's hard to go through all of the threads that don't say "Animated" (or those that do that are referring to animation styled) in the title to tag them so you can sort the list.

Yeah I saw that. I already have a listing for Ricochet. Aren't they the same dude?

I left deluxe cliffy off for a reason but hell if I can remember it now. I guess if thundercracker & ramjet are up there deluxe cliffy might as well be too.

I dunno man. Sounds like work. Also I'm trying to emphasize the characters here. This list is about who's been done, not who did it.

I'm a little late in checking this thread out, but I'm in agreement with Altitron. It's only fitting that the artist's name is attached to the work(s) in question.

 

We also have an Animated customs gallery in our Customs gallery. If members submitted their galleries, it would be more robust. Just sayin'.
