Same here. I have been hesitant to get into soldering stuff just to light up some customs. This is the difference maker for me.

For those who are averse to soldering, try wire wrapping. Not that it'll be of much use with surface-mount, but it's great for dealing with larger elements and prototyping. If nothing else, the wire is tiny and therefore pretty easy to route.

While I'd never do this... I can soooo see someone rig a room of Bots and Cons that are essentially on permanent display shelf status with these... and the wires lead to batteries that power when the room is dark or at night. Or even better... I could see in a decade or so those wirelessly chargable batteries being a small enough scale that you can easily pair it with an LED, besides a TF (not even fully installing) then do something similar with less wires all over...

Imagine a room lit up by TFs...

I spent a couple hours trying to fix the LED circuit in one of my FWI Ironhide cannons but ended up accidentally breaking a lead off the switch. So I was planning on ordering a holder/switch set, but I just checked and the battery would be too big. I was looking around the site but couldn't find any circuits that would use a smaller battery. That's too bad, because this set would save me a lot of time and headaches with LEDs. Maybe I'll order a couple sets for my FWI Jetfire boosters...

I just tried out one of the cell holders yesterday. I didn't take any after pics, but one of the switch/battery holder pairs I was using on my RotF Jetfire boosters broke. I had to do some interior cutting to get the switch and battery to fit inside, but now that it's finished it works really well... so far :)  I just ordered a couple more...

Thanx for this. I just ordered a few. For the price, if this works out I'll finally start lighting my TFs up like I've wanted to.

Just received mine in the mail yesterday. This makes LEDding up my toys so much easier. Can't wait to try to hook up multiple lights n combos.
