Masterpiece Acid Storm (v2)

This is a commissioned piece. the client order Acid Storm in addition to a few other MP seeker (mods mostly, no painting) He requested a more "simple" retail type paint job, but adding the same camo decor on Acid Storm, like I did with the original. This is the 2012 Hasbro MP Thundercracker figure (base) which (in my opinion) isn't as great as the original MP seekers.

i kinda agree about this mold the takara starscream i have i love and while they are the exact same figure in different colors the thundercracker TRU exclusive looks and feels derpy to me and i can never get it to stand up straight.

this repaint is awesome though and i really like the camo pattern

I Still Function!!!!!!!!

yeah, like I said on facebook, there are some great improvements here with this one, but a few things I prefer on the "old" version. this one is hard to pose, head is too big, feet are awkward, null rays and contraption...are poop

Looks darn Good F_R..
I've got a question for you, how hard is it to deal with any paint rub issues that go along with the telescoping legs?
I'm considering doing a skywarp out of a thundercracker mold and am concerned about the telescoping legs.

But considering you've made this beautiful acid storm from the mold, Perhaps you can give some advice

Depends how you pull them out. if pulled correctly (straight out) there should be no rub issues, if you pull them out at an angle, you'll scrap the upper leg with the lower leg. Alway's been an issue, not much that can be done about it. I suppose if someone wanted, they could use upper legs closest to the color they'll be painted so the problems are less noticable (ie use Starscream's gray legs here)

Hrm.. interesting.. Thanks for the tips man.
I'll just give a thin paint coat and try to be careful when extending or retracting the legs (not that I plan to transform it really).

Thanks again and awesome work on acid storm!

Or you could shave a little bit of the inside of the upper leg opening to allow more space. I know I had to do this on this mold and MP-10.

Custom is fantastic!

Looks nice Mike, and I have to agree that this mold is hardly a close second to the original. It's nice that they did away with the hip kibble, and the head shape is a bit better (though oddly similar to another head sculpt I know of....) It just doesn't do it for me though, I have 2 but no desire to open either of them.
Sig pictures are to be no larger than 40KB in file size and should be no larger than 300 pixels in height and 500 pixels wide - 2005 Staff
