More and more people are doing Lego/Kre-O customs. Would it be a lot of trouble to create a new sub-forum for that and maybe generate some buzz and interest more people? We could even do Kre-O/Lego-related challenges and what not... What do you guys think?

As far as I know, challenges/contests in Radicons may never happen. The idea has almost always been frowned upon or questioned for a few reasons. I'm sure there are other factors to consider, such as TFW staff that would be available to organize and monitor and online contest as well as coming up with suitable prizes and incentives for members to enter.

I don't think Kre-O or Lego customs need their own subforum. Perhaps a "MOC" (My Own Creation) prefix, or something along those lines, would be better. The existing ones work pretty well for dividing up the Heavy/Scratch, Repaint/Minor, Repro/Sticker, and non-TF projects.

I didn't mean offcial contests with prizes, just monthly or bi-monthly themes to challenge ourselves.

I thought each type of custom should have its own sub-forum. 1 for straight repaints, 1 for kitbashes ("Frankenformers"), 1 for scratch built figures (à la Anemis), 1 for 2D/3D art and 1 for Kre-O/Lego. Right now it's a huge mess and even running searches don't always give you what you're looking for. I don't think it would be any harder to create than the video reviews sub-forum.

There's no need for another sub-forum in Creative. As far as anything "official":

Staffing/moderation is an issue as well as prizes being properly awarded, etc. However, TFW2005.com has been known to host contests from time to time. Always keep your eyes peeled!

Correct. What exists right now is certainly adequate.

Artists are certainly free to create whatever customs they'd like, and they're certainly free to use Creative GD to have group types of discussion, even to the point of organizing thoughts and projects with others. What is disallowed is someone telling another person what they can't do, etc.

Also, if you have any technical site questions/suggestions, please post those in TFW2005 Tech Support; thanks!
