Idea for a stabler Knock Out collar?

I don't have the tools to be able to do this myself, but I had the idea that maybe if one could get a thin piece of plastic on top of what's already there on the side of the chest (perpendicular to the front) to be able to slide more of the collar piece onto it.

The attachment would go on the bit that I circled in green.

Whaddaya think?

Mine already clips on pretty solid.

It does on mine too, but with too much shoulder movement it unclips and droops
