Big mistake. I'm new to the whole painting business, but I'm pretty sad. So I scraped off most of it with Paint thinner and a cotton swab thing. Buuut there's the problem of the little nooks and crannies. I scraped off most of that with a toothpick. BUT there's still a teensy bit in there that I can't get out with a tooth pick. And there's also the problem of the white being an oh-so light shade of red. I tried my hardest to scrub it off with alcohol, paint thinner, and regular soap water and none of it worked. I wanna try and get it as factory-fresh as possible to prepare for the Repro set. Any tips/hints/ideas/suggestions? ![]() The affected areas: ![]() ![]() |

I know you said you already used toothpicks, but give those another whirl again, too. I think at this point, if it were my project, I'd mask off the areas that you didn't want white, and go to the spray booth to paint those areas white again. |
