    Greetings!

I'm trying to split open the arm part of KO DIA Commander armor set. It looks like it should just split in 2 but I can't seem to pry it open.

I'd like to know if it's glued together and how I should go about opening it.

iv looked into that also. buuut yeah i think you just have to slide an exact knife along where the two pieces meet. I'm pretty sure its just glued together.

just be patient with it so you don't break it

Well I managed to do it. I just kept prying with my hands and the glue gave eventually. I cut 2 fingers and it wasn't perfect on the first one I opened as I'll show.

The arm parts have one big peg and three smaller ones. On the second part I opened these were all intact.

On the first one I broke the small pegs but since I didn't know the layout I think I would have cut them anyway if I had used an Xacto knife instead of brute force.

The hands are actually similar to ROTF leader Optimus' hands so I can use them with him or Sentinel now. Unfortunately the hands from those figures are too big for the Commander armor set. It would require shaving to make the wrist fit.

Thanks very much for sharing your findings on this. I was wondering too. Could probably weaken the glue with a hairdryer/heat gun, too.

How's it coming. Man I swear you guys be reading my mind. I wanted to make articulated hands for my Commander (when I get the KO of course:D ) and couldn't think who and what figure's hands would fit it well
