I noticed that some joints on our toys can't simply be fixed by tightening a screw.
I'm referring mostly to the G1 Dinobots. I've got a very nice Grimlock, but his arms are loosey goosy and I tried hard to tighten the screw to get the arm tighter. I feel like I've gotten it as tight as I can, but still too loose.

Is there any tricks to tightening up these vintage limbs? I like to pose my bots with arms straight out holding their gun. But most of them just want to flop down shooting the ground.

Seems basic screw tightening does not work. :(
    Suggestions, tips?

I recently had the same problem with my Universe Inferno's shoulder. What I did was take out the screw and take the arm apart. Then I put a drop of clear finger nail polish where the friction's supposed to be. (I use this polish for loose ball joints as well.) Then I put it back together.
Every few minutes I moved the arm into a different pose. You have to keep moving it or the polish will solidify and it'll get stuck. But you don't want to move it too much or the polish will tear away at the plastic a little bit.

    I hope this helps!

Sounds like gluing the arm together. Which, I don't want to do as I want to be able to transform it back into dino-mode.

I also have a loose G1 Jetfire tail-fin that needs help.

My Inferno has all the motion it did before I applied the polish and is still fully transformable. Maybe I'm not understanding exactly the issue. Do you have pics?

No, I think you understood right.
I just want tighter joints where the screw won't go tighter.

Yeah, that's what I did with Inferno. The nail polish wasn't to hold anything together. When I re-assembled it I used all the parts including the screws I had to take out.
I guess I don't understand why that would keep you from being able to transform Grimlock...
