Lighting up the ice cream cone on the twin's?

so here's the image of the alt mode. I REALLY want the ice cream part to light up...

Is there a way to cast this in a more transparent plastic? Resin is quite opaque, and won't work. I've also thought about hollowing out more of the inside of it to thin out the plastic, but it might get some areas brighter than others because the thickness. Any suggestions?!?

There is a clear casting resin avaliable? I think i've seen something like this before at Micheal's or Hobby Lobby. I think its used for making clear paper weights. Would'nt that work?

that actually might, thought about it, but I hear it's very prone to bubbles, which wouldn't really matter though. I'd paint it in a semi-transparent white (maybe airbrush a few coats over it) good idea, thanks.

Well just thinking about it, you'd be hollowing alot of it out to add the lighting and switch so you might be able to eliminate most of the bubbles.

Would it perhaps be able to make a cast of the cone and then fill the cast with hot glue? It would give you your desired transparentness but there could be issues surrounding bubbles.
Battle Beasts are the grizzled, battle-hardened antecedents to Pokemon, who shake their heads disapprovingly at the cutesy scions of today before pickling their disgust with a bottle of bourbon, sitting in the darkness and staring moistly into the middle-distance while faint echoes of dying comrades grace their ears as if in a waking nightmare.

I think the clear resin will give the best results. I'm gonna run experiments with that also. Perhaps 1 or 2 drops of white paint in the resin while wet will make a 1/2 transparent 1/2 white cast result.
