thyvipera, well I dont have a good pic of Boomer, but I've got the group pic of our dogs here, but this is an early picture.

    From left to right:
Husker(enforcer), Herbie (my bro, David's dog he's grown up a bit, but this is a earlier picture of him, but I call him the Herb), Gunner(Jon's dog), and Boomer. Both of them are the bitches or the minions. lol So there you go.

Hey everyone, not sure if I can call my self a Radicon or anything, but I have enjoyed posting here over the last little bit.

I live in Winston-Salem, NC so if anyone else around here is on, we should get together sometime! I've only been customizing for a couple of months now, this grew from a want of a new hobby besides collecting transformers. Ive recently completed a goal of collecting all of the Transformers TV series I wanted to watch! G1, Japanaese trilogy, Bw, BwII, Bw Neo, BM, RiD (love it!) and currently picking up Animated. I never really got into Beast wars all that much, and I never saw Armada/Energon/Cybertron. Is it worth looking into?

I currently work for an armored truck company (yes I plan to repaint movie Payload into the truck I use), and an ex-Suncoast manager. Though the biggest thing in my life right now is my wife, Katie. We just got married on 08/08/08 and shes the best girl ever. She collects Care Bears, Bome figures, and just started Ame-Comi stuff. Worst off she enables my transformer buying/painting.

Heres a pic of us at out wedding and I am adding to the scruffiness of this thread.

Ive never really been into forums, but you guys have a great community here and I am glad to be a part of it.

crosscharge, welcome to Radicons! I can't wait to see more work from you! Congrats on marriage! It's even more of a joy to hear that your [now] spouse supports your interest in Transformers and your expression of that interest in customs. It's also nice to hear that she enjoys toys herself.

As for being a North Carolinian, seems like there is another here that may live close to ya . . . .

    HAY LOOK IT'S ME.

That's from about a year ago when I was trying to look as douchebaggy as possible in the bathroom at my last job.

I don't actually kitbash much anymore, although I'm not above doing paint touchups and things like that. I used to be real hardcore into doing up TFs and GIJoes, and have an entire folder on my HD full of pics that I might share one day (most of the Joe stuff is up at Joecustoms.com, where unsurprisingly, I am also Hooper_X). Generally I like playing in the weird corners of the TF universe - I'd rather see a crappy custom of Boss or King Solon than a totally kickass Jazz or Thundercracker, all things considered (not to harsh on people who do that sort of thing, mind you, but who the hell does a Boss kitbash? And who even knows who King Solon even is?). Mostly I just kind of hang around here to throw in my two cents on other people's work - sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.

Anyway, when I *do* sit down and slap a coat of paint on something, I enjoy it because it's almost a contemplative kind of thing. You get so focused on keeping the lines straight and getting a nice even coat and everything else just melts away for a while. That's why when I *do* sit around and customize, I have to set a time limit. (Did I mention I'm trying to put together a doctoral dissertation? 'Cause I am. That kills a lot of my time. Plus I teach at a nearby college and work part time at an ad agency. two-three hours a week is about all I can SPARE.)

Eventually I'd like to throw down and kitbash out my ridiculous fan-character guy, Hardcore. He turns into a 1974 AMC Javelin, but I'll probably just make-do with repainting a Cybertron Downshift (and maybe giving him a new front end. and new tail lights. and... STOP ME. STOP ME NOWWWWWW.

oh yeah!!! now i've got some time to show my true self!

anyway, i'm 28, back to school since september '08 and babysitting at night since my girlfriend works almost everynight, meaning i don,t have much time left for customs nowadays but i still take 20-30 minutes a night (when the kids sleeps) to works on my customs.

TFs collector/kitbasher, video game addict(not as much as i used to, but still an addict),student, father/babysitter,Quebecer (froggy...frenchie...french canadian...whatever you want me to be),fumeux d'pot, metal music listener (death and black metal mostly for bashing, heavy-metal for relaxing:bay )...that mostly describe me completely.

anyway, here's some pics of me and my family.
